Soon or later we have to come to the realization that Tony isn't a very good quarterback.... Just because he wears a star on his helmet -- we all think that people who are Dallas Cowboys, 'ooh they're wonderful and ooh they're terrific, ooh they're the next Roger Staubach' or whatever the heck they want to say. They're full of bologna.

Thoughts?

Thanks Joe, that was so insightful man.

We get it, Romo sucks.

Media Wins, half the fans are ready to ship him off to the sierra desert in a box

Im sure people will bash Joe for this, I disagree with him totally, but its just the way it is.. he is another guy who dosent watch more than 5 plays of this team and just blames the QB... Its what all of the media does because its the "IN" thing to discuss... Romo is so far from perfect, but no one has the balls to say that the Cowboys SUCK and Romo is NOT the problem.. Its getting so old and I even hate talking about it. Its not even worth talking about anymore.. Football is a team game and the Cowboys dont have the pieces in place to come close to compete for a championship... They have a QB, thats NOT their problem.

I'll take it from anyone other than that slime ball. I still dream about him taunting Cliff Harris in the end zone...

I'd take Tony over Joe any day of the week, and especially on game days.

It amazes me how much people hate the Cowboys. It seems some get more joy form a game like Monday night where Dallas gets killed then seeing their team win.

Joe Theismann's got a good reason to hate the Cowboys. I'd be disappointed if he didn't hate them.

Maybe Lawrence Taylor also knocked the sense out of his brains.

I agree Joe was no world beater or anything, but he was good.

And me saying I would take him on game day certainly shouldn't skew your outlook.

But I would. I think Joe was very similar to Phil Simms and I would take either over Tony.

But what do I know..I think Brett Favre is severely overrated.

Why be just mad with Joe? Half the people here feel the same way. If he offends you then think how many of us feel with the constant whining and complaining and negativity.

Romo may not be as good as his career QB rating indicates and he is not infallible.

However, I think this year he's been better overall than he has been in the past. I think he does indeed do a better job protecting the football. But, his O-Line play has been so poor that between having no run game and having to scurry too much, moreso than in the past few years; that's part of the reason for the turnovers. And the Bears game was a perfect example of his O-Line and WR's letting him down.

He's been much better at moving up into the pocket and not being afraid to roll out of the pocket and make plays. And he has a much better feel for when to say in the pocket and when to move out of it.

The thing is that Romo is not Peyton Manning or Tom Brady. He doesn't have that ability to make things so difficult for the defense that it makes the O-Line's job so easy that mediocre O-Linemen turn into Pro Bowlers.

But guess what?

There is only 1 Peyton Manning and 1 Tom Brady.

Everybody here knows I've been critical of Romo, but he's hit the stage in his career where he is now combining the ability to carefully protect the ball and make plays and do exactly what I want out of a QB. And it's a shame that rest of the team doesn't help him out.
