I don't know. I think Dorsey has got them on the right track as long as Haslem doesn't keep pulling his Jerry Jones impression and sticking his nose in where it does not belong.

I don't think it matters when their coach is no better than ours.

What's it going to be then, eh?

Believe it or not, I believe Garrett is a much better coach than Hue Jackson.

He is utterly horrific and I don't for the life of me understand why he is still their head coach. It is like a sick sort of punishment for Browns fans.

I would work at the same place for 11 years for 122 million dollars. I know that the competitive part may have wanted himself to be traded to have a shot for a ring. But maybe he was a life long browns fan and loved playing there?

If our record was the same year after year I wonder if JG would still be here.

I do agree that Jackson is worse.

Gotta respect the guy. Heck of a player and staying with the team that drafted him when he could have bolted.
No one should respect that. Player who never wanted to win. Loyalty in sports is overrated. He could have helped many contenders but didn't have the foresight to bolt when he realized it was never gonna happen in Cleveland.

Agree to disagree.

Also with that attitude we will need you to stop being a cowboys fans and start rooting for the eagles.

Players are independent contractors. Teams cut there and aren't loyal and players shouldn't be either. It is a business and Thomas after his rookie deal should have gone to New England or Denver. He would had a ring or two by now.

I would never root for philly that's just blashphemy sir. Players need to be three dimensional thinkers and treat the game like chess on all aspects. They have him a chance to leave amd go to a big name contender but he declined. Loser! Like the saying goes foe competitors if you're not in it to be ontop go find another career. It is about the super bowl. I don't respect a man who doesn't play to be the best of the best.

Maybe he was starry eyed kid that just wanted to play in the NFL and play at high level for the team that drafted him. Call it idealistic but there are some people that have simple dreams.

Then you grow up and but away childish things.

I respect Joe Thomas a lot more than I respect this post.

There are families involved, living where you want to live, not moving them around or being away from them. It's not a video game. It's his life, which is more than just football.

Pretty comical to watch and try and spin Joe Thomas as a bad player and example. For those who think he won't make the hall because he was on a poor team, we'll just bump this thread in five years and see who was right. I'll be around, will you?

I don't think he is a bad player. As a matter of fact I think he's a great player. I just think he's not a 3 dimensional thinker and gets caught up in the narrative of loyalty in sports that's bogus. He's just going to be on the losers wing of the hall where he greatness never lead to the ultimate prize. Big difference. You don't stay in a bad situation that leads you to failure time and time again. This might be a kids game but in the end it becomes a very grown up business and we never saw it through..

Yeah, running away from a challenge is something adults do. They flee, instead of staying and trying to improve the team you're on. Running away to an easier situation is so respectable...oh wait.

It's not about running away from a challenge . Life is heard enough on its own. We don't have to make it harder. The moment you realize it's not going to work out you say have a nice day, cut ties, and move on. It isn't easy winning but in the end it would have benefited him greatly to go to a more advantageous location to win. They're a fg away from being the 1st double 0-16 team.
