Anderson was only sacked 14 times last season. Ware may not get multiple sacks, but I think he can be disruptive enough to be effective.

Thomas and Steinbach were the two biggest reasons the Browns showed much improvement last year. That really solidified their offensive line.

Its a real good matchup. the nice thing about the Phillips d is he won't beat his head against the wall if Ware isn't having success against Thomas, he'll flip Ware to the other side occassionally.

I'm going to this game and the Pittsburgh game so I can not wait.

I'm actually way more excited to see the impact of Zach Thomas on the defense. There is going to be a lot less confusion on the passing routes, allowing Wade to bring the blitz from a lot of different places. I think we are gonna see way more exotic play-calling.

I think the bottom line is that no matter how Ware plays or how much we improve our secondary, Cleveland is likely to put up a lot of points on us.

Our offense will need to outscore them...this game could easily go 31-28 or 35-31.

I live in NE Ohio, so I can't wait to go up & watch my team in person!! Guys, Joe Thomas is no joke & Ware is a notoriously slow season starter. If DW gets 1 sack, I'll be glad. It's the QBHs that are going to matter just as much, I think. Just get enough pressure to get Anderson nervous so he throws it up for grabs.

I'll tell ya, Phil Savage has done an incredible job putting this team together. Seems like he has the Midas touch. Even both CBs he drafted last year, (Eric Wright & Brandon McDonald) played extensively, with Wright starting 13 of the 14 games he played in. For those who might not remember, the Browns traded the #53 pick away from the Cowboys, then drafted Wright. After watching him play last year, I would say that was one that got away. Of course, the jury's still out on James Martin, but right now, I would MUCH rather have Wright. It would sure make our need for a quality CB or two less of a pressing need.

I would love for Savage to run the Cowboy's drafts, but that will never happen with Jerra running the show. Anyway, I look forward to seeing that game live!

This is the single biggest reason we need a NT or a DE to be able to generate pressure. If you only have two pass rushers that can get there, then an offense can adjust. If you have three, they can't. If you have three, then pressure can come from anywhere because you no longer have the ability to pick up a blitz from an unanticipated area of the field. It becomes a question of foot speed. If you have to give help, on three good pass rushers, then you can dictate how the offense has to provide help and where the help must come from. It is then an easy thing to send the blitz from an area of the field that can not be easily picked up. It's the QBs job to account for that guy and most times, they can't. Especially if its pressure right up the middle.

Honestly, I don't care about any of the stats as long as we WIN the game.

Joe Thomas is a beast... However Dallas will move Ware all around so he'll get his chance to dominate on defense!
