Joe's Pre Next to Last Draft Mock for 2010!

If this is your next to last Mock, I'm taking cover for the last one.

That is quite a number of trades to project. My qualms would be:

1. Linval Joseph is not a 2nd round pick
2. The only players I think could actually be available at the places you have them are Alualu, Ducasse, McCluster, and McCoy. I think you have Tony Washington in particular much too late.
3. I would assume Trindon Holliday and Matt Nichols will be drafted.

I understand what your saying, but look at it this way, we only had one 3rd rounder, joseph will be gone before we draft late in 3rd round, so you draft him early if your sure of him

cant remember who it was, but a guy posted about what jimmy johnson said, you concentrate on 25 to 30 players, and you zero in on those where you think you can get them, if your sure of them, sometimes you trade up like the cowboys did with russell maryland, other times you trade down like they did in 93 but you have to know where players should and will be drafted and you mark your board

tony washinton still has that personal issues relating to his sometimes not living up to expectations and his red flag on his sexual issue, that knocks him down in the draft

Holliday & Nicholls may or may not be drafted, its iffy; you cant draft everyone you want, you have to target who you think you can get, and go from there, hoping some breaks and lady luck comes your way

remember tony romo and miles austin were undrafted

Joe, I admire your passion for the Cowboys, but man, this is out there. It's like a menu of the "CZ studs" by round.

again buddy, in this mock draft was trying to identify the main players cowboys are interested in. next mock will be more realistic

im still waiting on some inside info on that, hopefully it gets posted like was last year before the draft

Daniel Jeremiah, (@movethesticks), said on his Twitter feed yesterday that he's hearing from multiple teams that Joseph will be gone by the end of the 2nd round. He is currently on ESPN's First Take for the week to talk about the draft. He was a scout for BAL and CLE. I'm not saying his word is gospel, by any means, but he seems to have a lot of insight into the draft. I'm sure he still has solid connections inside the scouting community. Take it for what you will.

Bingo, exactly, thanks buddy for posting that, thats what ive read too, thats why i had joseph there; i like gaithers too, but according to silverbear the cowboys havent interviewed him or had him in for a visit;

Again buddy, this mock was to show you zoners, from what ive heard and read, some players the cowboys are interested in and zeroing in. The next mock will be more realistic with about 8 to 9 draft picks with trades.

I would not trade Barber for a 4th. He, IMO, would be more valuable to us then a 4th round pick.

I kinda think we should trade down but I think we should really look at massing picks between the 2nd and 4th. I also think we should look at no more then 6 players. I don't see a lot of rookies making this roster and we already have several "Rookies" from last year who will be trying to make this team. I think if we try to acquire lots of players in this draft, we throw away a lot of picks. Our team is no longer at the point where we need to bring in massive amounts of players. We are becoming more of a veteran team and at this point, I think we should start concentrating on bringing in key players at key positions. JMO.
