Joey Chestnut wins 3rd in a row

NEW YORK -- Reigning champ Joey Chestnut has logged his third consecutive win in Coney Island's annual hot dog eating contest with a world-record 68 franks.

He defeated his archrival, six-time titleholder Takeru Kobayashi, in Saturday's bout. Chestnut led throughout the contest.

Joey Chestnut broke his own record Saturday by feasting on 68 hot dogs in 10 minutes.

Last year's event initially ended in a tie, with Chestnut and Kobayashi both gobbling down 59 hot dogs and buns in 10 minutes. Chestnut went on to win a dramatic five hot dog eat-off.

This year's Nathan's Famous Fourth of July International Hot Dog Eating Contest was broadcast live on ESPN.

Chestnut is from San Jose, Calif. Kobayashi is from Japan.

They say they don't purge after wards. I can't imagine eating more than 3 or 4.

They are so good but eating more than 3 or 4 will make you feel sick.

Probably my favorite dog though by far.

I said the same thing to my son. If you put them in the mic, your plate is dripping with grease. Tasty, but more than 2-3 makes me sick as well.

Nathan's is pretty good. Hebrew National is probably my favorite brand though.

Never had a Hebrew National but i've yet to find anything that comes close to a Nathans.

All other hot dogs are 2nd.

After Nathans I would say its a tie between jumbo Oscar Meyers and Ball Parks.

You know them Ball Parks plump when ya cookem? lol

Now on the eating contest I was at a supercuts like last year or year before took my son for a haircut on TV they had the Krystal Burger contest on and Joey proceed to eat like a 103 in 8 Minutes it was kind of disgusting but at the same time I could not quit watching those people eat it was crazy they where like dipping them in water and stuff and shoving this big glob in their mouth.
