Galloway had lots of talent, but he had his flaws. His patterns weren't great (he had a habit of rounding his cuts) and he never really synced with our QB's at the time. Whe he got deep, he would telegraph the pattern and the Safeties were usually ready for him. His biggest asset was his speed and he could use that to good effect, but the Boys needed a disciplined receiver that could stretch the field ala Tery Glenn. He was, by all accounts, a decent teammate, but he was never the kind of leader that Irvin was. I wuld agree that he's pretty much done, but he might fit into KC in the interim. He certainly would not fit in in Dallas.

Galloway could score any time he got his hands on the ball. He could turn a short pass into a big gain. Glenn really could not do that. Galloway was also a very good return man. Galloway scored a TD every 8.95 receptions. Glenn scored a TD every 13.48 receptions. I don't think either guy ever synced with Quincy Carter. Who did?

Joey has 83 career TDs and Terry has 43 career TDs. Both guys aren't in Irvin's class. Both guys brought different things to the table. I think Galloway is judged much more harshly because of Jerry's decisions and nothing that Joey actually did or didn't do while in Dallas. Plus the team around him was pretty bad as well. Glenn played with better versions of the Dallas team than Galloway ever did. Glenn(10 catches, 109 yards) played in 3 playoff games for Dallas while Galloway only saw one of those playoff games(4 catches, 59 yards).

Galloway hasn't heard from Chiefs

Posted by Mike Florio on October 20, 2009 4:44 PM ET
Contrary to a report originating from WEEI in Boston that free-agent receiver Joey Galloway was en route to Kansas City for a workout, Steve Duemig of WDAE in Tampa reports that, as of 4:00 p.m. ET on Tuesday, Galloway hasn't heard a peep from the Chiefs.

Galloway became a free agent immediately upon his release from the Patriots.

The Baltimore Ravens reportedly were interested in trading for Galloway. If so, they presumably are interested in signing him as a free agent.
