I always liked Joey ..... to bad he will always be remembered as a guy who cost us 2 number 1's instead of a good Wide out.

I always thought that Galloway was unnecessarily shafted when Parcells got here.

He wanted to stay and was willing to rework his deal.

He was traded away for Keyshawn when everyone knew Gruden would have cut him anyway.

A trio of Glenn, Keyshawn, and Galloway would have been nice.

I think the Cowboys are much to blame for underutlizing Galloway's talents while he was here.

Galloway was a bad trade from the get go, IMO. He was one dimensional and often injured for us. We traded for a #1 WR when in reality, he was a #2 guy IMO. He was only going to be more expensive as time went on and he was not going to be the move the chains guy we needed. As a result, we unloaded his contract. I liked the move then and would probably feel the same way if it had to be done again. JMO.

BUCS EXTEND GALLOWAY

Adam Schefter of the NFL Network reports that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have signed receiver Joey Galloway to a new deal.

Per Schefter, Galloway's $2.8 million base salary for 2007 has been replaced by a three-year, $7.5 million contract. He'll earn a $1.2 million salary in 2007 and a $1.8 million roster bonus, along with a $100,000 workout bonus. His salaries for 2008 and 2009 are $1.767 million and $2 million, respectively.

To the extent of how much the trade cost then yes, it was unbelievably bad. I still think Jerry could have got Joey for much less and we would have had a number 1 pick that year and in 2001.:bang2: The trade set us back a few years in that regard. Actually if we had waited we might have even had a shot at Keyshawn that year.
