Dolphins QB Beck learning from Romo's former Cowboys coach

Although Josh McCown said he expects to be the Dolphins' starting quarterback, you won't hear any similar declaration from John Beck. But Beck explained last week why he believes he has improved, and insists he doesn't care if the Dolphins draft a quarterback in the early rounds. In two months working with new quarterbacks coach David Lee, Beck said he has received more individual coaching on technique than he did all last season. ''It was hard last year because I was the third guy," he said. "Now, it's been nice because we've been able to focus a little bit of time on me. Coach Lee definitely has helped me. I've made a lot of strides since the end of the season in some smaller detailed things" -- including delivery and footwork. For weeks, Beck and Lee have been watching Beck's game tape as a teaching tool. Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo credits Lee for his development when they were together in Dallas. -- Miami Herald

As if Lee made Romo who he is. LMAO.

Beck was 3rd QB last year and now in the offseason he's getting some direct coaching and suddenly, Lee is a QB guru?

Please.

If Beck is dating a famous female in a few years then David Lee is my hero in a Mr. Miyagi type way

Thats funny, I must have missed the last few Dolphins games they just recently played. Someone needs to let me know that the season already started. How have the Cowboys done?

While watching BYU football here in Utah, I'm going on record the Beck is going to be a good one when his time comes. I was hoping the Cowboys would have drafted him to be Romo's successor, however, that would not work because Romo is so young and will be a great one for the Cowboys for a long time.

But...watch this kid, John Beck. BYU for some reason always produces good QB's...

Marc Wilson, Gifford Neilson, Jim McMahon, Robbie Bosco, and Ty Detmer.

Young was easily the most successful.

Where did the article say the season was underway? I looked twice and can't find even a hint that it has.

McMahon was very good but fragile as hell. Outside of Young none of the others were really anything to write home about.

and dont forget John Walsh, who spent months and months working with the "genius" Bill Walsh, Walsh then proclaimed that his student was the best player in the draft and should go #1 overall

then he went undrafted and never amounted to anything in the NFL

According to Romo, Lee played the biggest part of anybody in his development.
