If he's healthy; does he execute the pick-up Gronkowski blew?

Considering his blocking last season, I'd have to say yes. He proved himself to be a smart player, able to handle the assignments at three positions.

Not saying Gronkowski isn't football intelligent, but it's rare for a rookie to be able to always be assignment sound. I'm not sure Phillips was at the start of his rookie year, but he grew into that kind of player.

He's the new Beeler, now that Beeler has become very un-Norris-like.

Is he even in that formation though?

I don't know but I said early on he was the loss we were most going to regret. I stand by it. It isn't about being a 3rd TE. It's about accepting your role.

If Barber, felix or Choice in the game does Romo get hint like that doubtful. Gronk is a rookie and I like the kid but in that spot you probably been better of with those guys over Gronk as the 3rd down blocking back that is a tough thing to lay on a rookie. I Blame the coaching staff
