Change is in the air for the NFL draft.

Because of a scheduling conflict at Radio City Music Hall, the NFL moved the draft back two weeks. This move allows the NFL to study the future of the draft. The result could mean mid-May drafts, spreading the event over four days and moving it out of New York City.

I predict the draft will be in Chicago or some other city next year. The NFL will start to put draft sites up for bid and possibly move it from city to city in future years. The Radio City Music Hall conflict has opened the door for change.

All of that movement he expects sounds great for us

Expanding the draft to encompass four days is stupid. Two is plenty, three on the excessive side already.

If the things in that article happen, then the first round will be very entertaining to say the least...get your popcorn ready!

How was there a scheduling conflict?
There was supposedly supposed to be puppet show fiasco at Radio City Music Hall that got cancelled or the Rockettes or both regardless few believe whatever excuse Goddell used to justify this annoying trial balloon. One change I would like to see is the Commisioner not engaging in a bunch of goofy handshakes with draftees.

I really hope they dont move it even furhter into mid may.

Way to much goes into this process already. Once the season is over have Free Agency, have the Combine, use another month for pro days/interviews and hold the dang draft in April like they always have.

Some day very soon there will be a Draft Committee and it will operate exactly like the current Super Bowl Commitee does by selecting a site to host the draft each year. I say forget it and just move it to Jerry World.
