I think the value of John Stephens is special teams and as a red zone threat. He will be great for kickoffs.

Showed those obvious "p" words as a pass catcher at TE last year. Promise and potential. Hopefully he's given a fair chance to compete and it would not surprise me if he even jumped all the way to TE2 in the TE room.
