exactly but dallas is getting old on the offensive side of the ball..and romo and henson arent exactly spring chickens anymore..henson more then romo..

the offense is getting old real fast, i'd rather have a 22-23 yr old come in and play with these older vets then a 29 yr old henson or a 27 yr old romo..and have that 22-23 yr old be in his prime and be able to be a leader when dallas gets in its next crop of young studs on the offensive sid eof the ball

Both Henson and Romo are 26 yrs old. The offense just got younger. :)

if we're going to draft a QB to be the heir-apparent to Bledsoe, then it needs to be in 2007 draft...because Bledsoe probably only has a few more seasons left and a draft pick will need at least one year to sit.
Brady Quinn is his name....

First off, anyone proclaiming anything about Henson, either bust or the next coming of Aikman or anything in between is just guessing and/or wishing. We do not know how good Henson is or will be. NFLE was an inconclusive experiment that got him some experience but produced no definitive results. He was/is good enough that he has not been cut as many have predicted that he would be. HE was not/is not so good that he has stepped over Tony Romo to take over the number 2 job. We should get a better idea of where he stands in this upcoming training camp (which I can't wait to get here so that these kinds of purely speculative threads will go away).

It seems like the coaching staff has already decided that Romo is #2 to me. seems like I keep reading about how Parcells intends to play him A LOT during the preseason. Don't think they are really going to give Henson a chance to beat him out. Sounds like they want to take a long look at Romo and see if they think he can handle the load if Bledsoe goes down.

If Romo produces, then the Cowboys management probably feel comfortable with him as #2 and probably keep Henson to continue to develope.

If Romo fails to impress, then what does that mean? Maybe they bring in a vet and cut him or Henson. If you are giving Romo all the playing time and he doesn't produce, then it would seem unfair and illogical to cut Henson.

I remember it was a member on the board by the name of MikeD17 who posted that a inside source which Im guessing that is the Janitor that cleans Jerry Jones and Stephen Jones personal bathroom, said that Drew Henson will be released in 2 weeks, im asking How long ago did he say that?:lmao2:

The deadline passed a couple-three weeks back...

Coincidentally (yeah, right), Mikey hasn't been heard from since... I expect if we ever do hear from him again, he'll have a new online name...
