so law media says he will be top 20 and the draft profile says delpit will also be too 20. So how does this help your argument?
Heath will be resigned and very likely on a team friendly contract. Our bigger need is getting a monster DT who can play any DT position, whether for a 4-3 or 3-4 defense, and be able to stop the run, beat double teams and pressure/sack the QB. Kinlaw fits the bill (that's because he's only getting started to know his true potential). 6'6", 310 pounds, fires out on the snap, strong upper and lower body, quick twitch and can create havoc inside. Plus, he has a tendency to jump & raise his arms to knock down passes or create misthrows, and he is a pretty good FG blocker on special teams.
Delpit is good, but there are several decent Safeties that can be had in the 2nd round.
Move up into the early 2nd round and pick up Alabama's Safety: Xavier McKinney (6'1", 200 lbs, 4.53 40 time and a very aggressive tackler and playmaker) or stay put in the middle 2nd round and pick up the best Safety in Div. II, Lenoir-Ryne's Kyle Duggar (6'2", 210 lbs, 4.41 40 time, fast, good tackler and lots of potential).
