Would you guys prefer him in our LB lineup.....it seems he may want out of NY....

While the Jets and Jonathan Vilma are still waiting to learn the extent of the injury, his long-term future with the team also could be in question. Vilma, whose contract runs through the 2008 season, has told those close to him he is unhappy in the Jets' 3-4 scheme and wants out. ... -- Star-Ledger

I love Vilma. I think he would be an excellent ILB in a 34. He's a bit small but heck, he's unbelievable as a tackling LB. Probably a Pipe Dream thou.

Umm lets see, he wants out of NY because he doesn't like playing in the 3-4.

So lets go ahead and sign him so he can play in our 3-4.

Makes perfect sense to me.

Maybe it's just their version of the 3-4 that he doesn't like.........

Word is he doesnt fit in the 3-4 very well

They said the same thing about Lewis and Donnie Edwards but they worked out very well. I just believe that if you have a guy who can run to the ball, can tackle well and is intelligent, he's going to do well no matter what. Velma is a hitter. He can play on my team any day regardless of scheme.

I could see him headed down the road to Philly.

Jonathan Vilma has played in the Pro Bowl. You would think that would make him a prime candidate for the Commanders, except that he isn't over 30+ yet. I believe he is only 25ish. I don't think the Eagles will pick him up either. I think it would be someone like the Browns or Detriot.

Anyhow, rumor has it, he might be headed it IR.
