Carolina sucks.Or the ability that got him traded for a 4th round pick.

Hed have to be awful to get cut. They’re not spending $ on a guy who isn’t on the roster if they can help it.A salary of less than $1.6M being guaranteed is not going to be the reason a guy makes the 53
This is kind of where I'm at....very good chance he makes the team. The frame is there, the Cowboys do lack depth as far as guys that can line up outside, and hes not exactly a body type that will be difficult to contribute on special teams. There is some easy to see attraction to keep him on the roster.I wouldn't say he's a guarantee to make the 53, but there's like a 90% chance.
The coaching staff will give him every opportunity and benefit of the doubt, for sure. But he was 6th on the Panthers depth chart at one point last season, and I think an 80yo Adam Thielen was the #1. Mingo's not good.
Again, less than $1.6M being guaranteed is nothing and will not play a role in whether or not he makes the team. I'm not saying whether I think he will or won't make the team. I'm just saying that won't be the reason. Heck we still have $8.7M in dead money for Gallup. <$1.6M is nothingHe’ll make the 53 because his salary is guaranteed.

It was a new coaching staff. The previous staff drafted him in the 2nd round and traded for Diontae Johnson. That new staff didn't want either of them.I wouldn't say he's a guarantee to make the 53, but there's like a 90% chance.

They won two less games than the Cowboys, so you have to be right. They suck.Carolina sucks.
They have sucked for a long time. They won two less games than the Cowboys, so you have to be right. They suck.
Perhaps if they stop wasting draft picks on guys like Mingo they can start to improve. They have sucked for a long time.
Tolbert has it locked up.There was less than 50 passes thrown in two days of minicamp. There are 12 WRs, 7 TEs & 6 RBs on the roster. He's battling Tolbert for the 3rd WR spot.
Sure would be nice if he turned out to be a useful player.Jonathon Mingo makes the 53 man roster ,not because Dallas traded a 4th round pick for him .Mingo makes the 53 because he is simply the best blocker they have at the wide receiver position on the roster. His blocking down field will help this running game work,Mingo is shining in Mini Camp catching all 6 passes thrown his way. With Mingo's body type The Cowboys could use him differently than the rest of these receivers. He could be used like San Francisco uses Deebo Samuel ,put Mingo in packages where he catches short passes and let him use his size and athleticism to break tackles.I think he helps this team in both the running game and the passing game,he is just a different player use him like it,lets discuss.
Does he? That's questionable. Most considered him overdrafted. He is making the team because he has the ability that made him a 2nd round pick.
Why?Lol, that's ridiculous.
I've posted about this before. I don't think he's really had a good shot so far.Mingo could be Noah Brown type player, but possibly better.
Mingo is the classic awesome looking athlete but can’t play football.
$1.6M?????He’ll make the 53 because his salary is guaranteed.
I've been saying this for months.Jonathon Mingo makes the 53 man roster ,not because Dallas traded a 4th round pick for him .Mingo makes the 53 because he is simply the best blocker they have at the wide receiver position on the roster. That all increased his draft stock making him a second round pick which he hasn’t lived up to.Jonathan Mingo's official 40-yard dash time is 4.46 seconds. He also recorded a 10-yard split of 1.54 seconds at the NFL Combine. His size (6'2", 220 lbs) and speed (4.46) were noted as key factors in his draft profile.
