Jonathon Mingo makes the 53

..glad I'm not the coach. That's a job I wouldn't want. ;)
Why not......Jerry sets the roster here, not the head coach.

Garrett got 9 years here to be mediocre and McCarthy got 5 years just to win 1 playoff game.

Being a coach on the Cowboys is winning life's lottery!

Flournoy is a big reason I would be open minded about the WR room. He obviously needs a big camp to show it, but I think he is the guy people are sleeping on and could disrupt the WR3/WR4 competition. If so Tolbert's contract year may work against him. The further they get down the depth chart the more the Cowboys may shift focus from safe veteran depth to developmental players with years of control. Obviously a lot of cards would have to fall right in order for Tolbert's job to be in question, but if a guy like Holden shows promise in camp I could very well see the Cowboys floating Tolbert on the trade market for a late pick. One thing about a new coaching staff is that I would expect some surprise roster decisions in August.
Yep, Flournoy, Holden and Cropper even Campbell should be competing with Mingo.

Maybe Campbell finally gets healthy and balls out. He's just like Matthew Golden whom everyone wanted to draft.

Well, let's hope McCarthy doesn't think Schottenheimer is just like anyone else.

He is the best blocker but even if he couldn't block at all he'd make the roster because of the recent investment.

Vince's great grandson Voch Lombardi thinks Tolbert is the odd man out. I don't see it.
Is that truly his great grandson?

I think with his bigger body Dallas could use him a little differently, he might not have Deebo's speed but I think he's gotta enough to pull these type of plays off.Blocking down field should be expected from this coaching staff and this new and improved running game.
Deebo had good not great speed. He did have exceptional first step quickness/explosiveness along with RB power. Not sure he has that anymore.

This alone tells you where the Cowboys wide receiver room will be this year. Lacking in depth and once one of the top two goes down production is going to be in the garbage heap.
No team has depth enough to lose their top 2 at the same time. We are pretty deep at WR. Lamb, Pickens as top 2 and experience at the next 3. Obviously if you list both Pickens and lamb you’d struggle but no team has 4 number ones or twos

No guarantees left makes him an easy cut if he doesn’t perform

Isn’t Pickens suppose to be a decent blocker too? May see a bunch of WR screens to Turpin lol
Turpin and Blue getting down field blocks on screen plays will be long gains, exciting times are on the horizon. Dallas has some weapons to deal with, both speed and power could be a good match up problem to have this season.
