I'll be honest, I didn't read the original post but going by the headlines and a brief skim over some of the responses..
let me tell you this Jerry is not the only one that needs an intervention,
Jerry's part of the problem but don't tell me that David, you know Parsons agent, and Parsons himself also don't need interventions they're all wrong they're equally wrong...
Jerry has dealt with agents since 1989 in the NFL and lots of lawyers since he's been in business we're talking about armies of lawyers that you have to deal with when you're a billionaire buying things like Papa John's franchises, his catering business for NFL stadiums, and so many other things besides the DC...
I'm not going to list all of them but There's a reason he's worth $17 billion, because he deals with people, some people he don't like, but he deals with them anyway...
But this particular agent, is causing more problems and giving bad advice to Parsons ,he has just a big an ego and he's equally responsible for putting Parsons in this situation than jerry has.....
And that brings me to persons the third person in this situation he knows right now that his agent has burned bridges with this ownership group an ownership group that owns your rights for the next three seasons That can make your life a headache even if they wanted to trade you they would send you to a very very bad team on purpose. He has to know they hold the leverage even though Jerry hasn't come out and said it and yes there can be an intermediary somebody else in the front office can deal with the agent But maybe Parsons need to revisit what T Higgins figured out if he's not getting what he wants if the agent is somehow just butting heads with ownership you got to fire your agent get a new agent..
Not saying do this without representation but why don't you get an agent I don't know like Prescott...
Take advice from a leader, the man never had to hold out, he didn’t do any hold-ins. He didn’t miss any practice time at all. He played on the franchise tag. He was willing to play on his last year deal last year without demanding a trade, never use social media to get involved in any of this.
Everyone’s agent is going to advise them some way differently, but whoever this guy’s agent is that’s who you should be using. You shouldn’t use an agent that absolutely has burned bridges with the ownership group.
I understand both sides of the argument and we’re talking about Parsons here, but it has been borderline ridiculous now it’s become different than all these other contracts disputes..
I realize both sides are wrong here the front office, the agent, the player, allowing agent to do this, but it’s become really ugly, yes,
Other players have had to wait to get their deals done, some too long, but they all got done.
All the superstars in Dallas have got paid. They did not have to resort to this...
I’m not putting blame here , because I’m not taking aside, but Prescott is right. He took Jerry to the cleaners and didn’t have to do any of this.
He’s got everything you can think of in both his contracts.
That would be the agent I would want to use not the one that seems to love the drama as well that’s why both parties are wrong. Their egos are clashing and they’re staring at each other like two Pitbulls and Parsons is the gate in the middle of the fence, keeping them from imploding and that’s just not right.
