end up becoming the Cowboys starting QB one day?

Does the Jones Family got the moxy to pull that one off?

Would you call it quits as a fan if he sux and he kept his starting QB job for 10+ years?

The only real way the Cowboys get him would be if 1) he's great in college and the Cowboys are one of the worst teams in the league the year before or 2) he's not very good and the Cowboys pick him up in later rounds. If the first option happens .. meaning the team is horrible, I'm all for giving the kid a chance. If the second option happens, the only way I see him starting would be if the Cowboys draft or sign horrible quarterbacks for several years and he's the only one left to give a chance to play.

Now, that said, if they give him the team and he's bad, I have a feeling not only will the fans complain about it, but the media will make it a never-ending story line.

The other thread put this thought about the kid in my head again. The first times i thought about it was just quick pass by thoughts, but i was thinking now the closer we get Jerry may lose his mind to the point of no return and get his grandson in the starting line up. I think if the kid came in and played horrible and kept his job endlessly i would have to pack it in temporarily till nature takes it's course. I don't know if could stay involved with that extreme taking place.

They've had Dez for 8 years and people haven't packed it in. It does not get much bigger in terms of losers with guaranteed jobs.

Define "sux". My "sux" is no NFC championships, no superbowls, etc. But around here, HOF and ROH is more important than those things. I'd rather have a sucky QB who won a SB than a great entertainer who might be HOF with nothing to show for it.

Well let's see. We haven't called it quits yet and we have a head coach that has sucked for much of his 8.5 seasons; and counting. Same with the GM, who's sucked since Jimmy Johnson left.

True, but i think the kid becoming the starting QB would be more extreme compared to that other stuff, well unless the kid actually deserved the job.

so, you are saying that we are looking at 15 more years of Jones (my current age, add college years, carry the remainder, subtract senility, both mine and Jones people)....I'll be dead

why not , we already have Jerry's son by a different mother coaching the team. All he has to do is make it to the playoffs once and he's QB for life.
