1st round pick doesn't guarantee anything, I could name many busts from the first round. We need ILBs, OL, DTs...etc.
Imagine if Bill had taken a QB in the first and not pick up Brady in the 6th. It's all a crap shoot.

Of course it doesn't guarantee anything, but it gives you a much better chance.

That's true, but do you really think Jerry is going to let Dak walk and if he does we already have a 1st round pick on the roster. Lance, Rush and 2nd or 3rd rounder may do the trick.

Even if Jerry throws away the future ansd moves up for a q.b. Only thing that it guarantees is that this guy maybe 50-50 better than what you have now.

All depends what they do with Dak. If he's gonna be cut take a QB. If not roll with a former 1st rounder in Lance and have him put pressure on Dak. If Jerry extends Dak, don't waste a top pick when we have so many other needs
