Jones to get more carries.

I do and he has 2 as of right now.
Okay then. So, immediately following the draft, you were very premature in stating that he wouldn't have any big plays as a professional? Even though he demonstrated his (documented) big play potential many times while playing for Arkansas?

To me... this is like a tightening of noose on other teams.

Our offense is powerful and will break you...

Now... FJones gets unleashed and just breaks your teams will. We start to impose our teams will on other teams and they fold up tent.

:hammer: This is the best possible choice for Garrett to pick. D coords already have their hands full game planning for us. Now they'll have yet another playmaker on their hands. It's a win/win situation. Good for the 'Boy's, and good for both Felix and Marion. Shock and Awe, baby!

It's a no-brainer. Gets Felix the ball and gets Barber rest time. Keep him healthy for the Super Bowl run...

Ya, lets not burn out MBIII, up to coaches game by game---

I'd say lets get some production from Felix via a taste of west coast offense, Westbrook style---long "handoffs".....very low risk passes

virtually or even right out of the slot position, other teams seem to scheme matchups against our LB's and Safeties....

come on Garrett, get some movement in the set, and single up Felix on a LB.

I think that is the plan with Felix. I think his biggest asset will be as a receiver out of the backfield. They haven't even unveiled this part of his game yet, wonder who they're saving it for.

Yep. Two supposed "problems" (too heavy a load for Barber, not enough playing time for Felix) in this case equal one solution.

As long as Felix doesn't try to block another blitzing LB the way he tried to block McGinnest.

garrett = God:bow:

If that man doesnt bring a Sb to this team then nobody will. Two words " MAster mind"

Felix is too much of a threat to not put on the field w/Marion. YPC will increase for both, regardless of attempts. Felix has a chance to be a unique player in the league, and for many many years. In the Reggie Bush mold, but with the ability to actually handle a full work load if called on. Felix will be a superstar in this league for along time, but here's the difference... Felix is the joker in the deck: a player whos ability you cannot coach duplicate and prepare for. Could he handle the bulk load? I think maybe so. But: I do think his effectiveness would drop drastically if he was given the feature back role. I think he would still be considered highly productive, but his SUDDENNESS would decrease to where it might hamper the offense a tad.

As for MB3. Everyone that is worried about Barber slowing down with carries sees one play in the NFC divisional playoff where he got tripped up at the line of scrimmage on the Cowboys penalty riddled final drive as "proof" that he wears down late in ballgames with a full workload. That's nonsense.

MB3 will be a 1300-1400yd RB with 15-20 TD's running/receiving for at least 4 or 5 more years barring injury. For the next few seasons, late in close games HE will be the feature back in the line up- do not confuse that.

These guys lack of ego is part of the reason they are both terrific ballplayers. They have a chance to BOTH be HOF'ers, and go down in history as a uniquely productive, talented, and dynamic duo of RB'sm and we as fans should not root for one or the other but enjoy both because they are a joy to watch play football.

Why would Barber be against anything, we gave him a fat contract, his job is secure and if he looks at sportscenter or anything he knows his style of running would benefit with a quality backup..

Right now Barber is on pace for over 25 tds, which I think he would be very happy with, while Felix is on pace for 16 tds, which would be ROY type numbers...

Giants ?

I wouldn't have Felix take carries away from Barber

I would just pair the 2 in the backfield, and motion him out alot into the slot, or having him take swing passes

How much of a difference is there between Julius Jones and Felix Jones? Are they related?

Thats not what I meant.

I know what OMG is but whats ZOMG? And by the way just outta curiosity, how old are you?
What you 'meant' and what you type are subjective.

Most likely, older than you. How old are you?

[EDIT: I just looked up 'ZOMG'. The definition I found means "zealous 'oh my God'" for what its worth.]

They are not related. Jones is a very common name, but come on...

Thus far, Felix Jones has proven to be a much more flexible player than Julius Jones had been. He has been vision and speed as a running back in very limited opportunites and an added dimension as a return man. He is an upgrade. Get ready.

Wouldn't just looking at his personal profile solve the mystery

DE = 43
PullmyFinger = 39

I think this is a good call for the Cowboys. Felix seems to be legit, and has played lights out so far this year. It can never hurt to have another good back running the ball. With that said, its also good to get Felix more touches considering Barber hasnt done too much against us the last couple meetings.

I stand by my prediction that we will have two 1000-yards rushers this season.
