Like that they get a free look, but man, how badly did NY want to unload him to even agree to this with a division rival. So it's basically a free look at Phillips.

Yeah that is legitimate. They must really believe he's shot.Like that they get a free look, but man, how badly did NY want to unload him to even agree to this with a division rival.
..if he gets 5 sacks first two games. Get him some Scooby Snacks. So it's basically a free look at Phillips.

Maybe Zims scheme and being rotational will rejuvenate him. Hopefully.Yeah that is legitimate. They must really believe he's shot.
Probably for the same reason SF decided to send Lance to a team they played in each of the previous two playoffs….it was the best offer by a lot.Like that they get a free look, but man, how badly did NY want to unload him to even agree to this with a division rival.
He probably isn't the greatest fit for a 3-4. His best years were with Buffalo's 4-3. But Giants had two young backups so no sense keeping the older guy.Yeah that is legitimate. They must really believe he's shot.
Yeah, there is hope for him but I can't imagine that we were the only place they shopped him to and could use a NT. The fact that they traded him to us, a division rival, means nobody else even offered a conditional 6th.He probably isn't the greatest fit for a 3-4. His best years were with Buffalo's 4-3. But Giants had two young backups so no sense keeping the older guy.
We dominate teams in tradesSo it's basically a free look at Phillips.

The giants have a 5th and 7th round picks invested in the position as backups. DJ Davidson is now 2 years removed from his ACL tears. Phillips looking at his contract was probably nothing more than a hedge against Davidson and Riley not being ready.Like that they get a free look, but man, how badly did NY want to unload him to even agree to this with a division rival.
Not to mention getting the chance to play next to Osa.Maybe Zims scheme and being rotational will rejuvenate him. Hopefully.
Reminds me of how we always draft. We dominate teams in trades
Maybe they were just deep enough at defensive tackle that they weren't going to have room for him. I'm not that familiar with their defensive tackle situation. Don't be surprised if we end up doing the same thing..Like that they get a free look, but man, how badly did NY want to unload him to even agree to this with a division rival.
This may not be a popular opinion. But I have a little more faith in our coaching staff than I do in theirs.Yeah that is legitimate. They must really believe he's shot.
Jerry is a great GMSo it's basically a free look at Phillips.

I completely agree. They they are not very good at this. 36 wins over the last 3 years. that's an embarrassment. Imagine if they were just mediocre. Like the giants. I can only imagine if Dallas cowboy fans were forced to be Carolina Panthers fans for one year. The suicide rates would be off the chart.Probably for the same reason SF decided to send Lance to a team they played in each of the previous two playoffs….it was the best offer by a lot.
They did this to themselves by not paying attention in the off-season, or maybe just the common theory that they just aren’t any good at this.
Well if that doesn't turn his clock back 5 years nothing will. Not to mention getting the chance to play next to Osa.
