Josh Allen - Apologizes for offensive tweets

I’m part of the first generation to raise kids who have social media/cell phones. They don’t realize that everything they post is a matter of permanent record, no matter how much I’ve preached the facts. How many of us would have jobs today if our employers could go back and read transcripts of our lunchroom conversations from jr. high/high school days before a job interview?

Everyone has said something at one time or another that they shouldnt of! When your young your mouth tends to get you into trouble. When I got older I used to think I couldnt get in trouble with my ears until my wife accused me of not listening!

Allen is getting an early Baptism....and kid,it wont get no easier if the Jets draft ya. They will chew you up and spit you out in NY . That is the worst place for a raw QB like him. Zona would be ideal...or Denver

Dumb being the operative word!

How many dumb things did you do in high school? I know me personally, I’m lucky to still be alive!

Teenagers do dumb things. Part of the process. Certainly can’t hold it against them later in life.

Now, if he was saying things in a hateful way, or showed that he is a racist or bigot, that’s be one thing. But that’s not the case here..

Good young prospect...but he just seems a lot like Christian Hackenburg.

From what I know about teenagers and I had 2 in the house for 18 plus years, I tell them the implications of saying/doing dumb things and if they continue, hey it's their life and they own the implications. How many dumb things did I do/say? Plenty, don't make the same mistakes, I've told my kids that many times. They're free to make their own mistakes, I'm not free in allowing them to make the same ones I made without sharing the implications.

I have two right now. One 18 and the other 16..and BOTH great kids...buuuuuut lol...they say some head scratching things . Sometimes they make me laugh, sometimes I wanna choke 'em lmao...but in the end, they must learn as they go and all you can do is hope they learn on their own,,because they gonna screw up,its inevitable. The question is,and I always tell them this, its not a question of will you mess up,its a question of, are you going to repeat the same mistake twice? Teens can be full of surprises lol...baby steps man...My guess is Allen was no different in HS. I'm not gonna hold BS the kid did as a teen against him. THATS JUST ASSININE!

I used to copy rap songs and post them on AIM and in my AOL profile was in was in 8th and 9th grade.

I’m a white Man. I had no idea what I was doing or what I was even saying really- it sounded cool. But the lyrics were very offensive.

I don’t think Josh Allen will be very good but I hope he doesn’t drop because of this.
