Just release Ball with an injury settlement. He was a turnstile at tackle and just a little more than a liability at guard.

Some draft picks just miss. Bite the bullet and move on.

Guy can’t stay away from injury and is basically redundant with Waletzko at this point.

If he ever gets on the field here several things went wrong. I’ve written him off.

Haven’t seen Bass play but I’ve heard more positive on him in three weeks than in three years of Ball.

i did not have Ball making our 53 roster anyway...

or at least I was hoping Josh Ball was not going to make it.

You’ve already given up on the season sounds like.
not at all, but are you not frustrated with the OL injuries year in, year out? Are you satisfied with how ownership has addressed our lack of depth there? This has been an issue for years, and not only are Steele and Ty coming off injuries, we still lack depth. Yes this is a league wide issue, but one we don't seem to address. Now Ball was a who knows anyhow, but our OL gets killed every year by injuries

This is the best team they’ve put together in decades. All teams have injuries and and when the backup comes in, play digresses usually. Cowboys don’t have a monopoly on injuries.

I think they just outright cut him and put him on the PS at some point. I know they increased it to 8 (I think) players per year that can be designated to return and that’s a lot, but I’d hate to see us unable to bring a better player back later in the year to try and hold onto Josh Ball who can’t play for quite while anyway. Everyone was all caught up with Josh Ball playing better this year But I’m not so sure he’s going to be even a backup caliber player against a starting NFL defense and I’d be shocked if another team signed an injured Josh Ball to stash him. I‘d just cut the guy. We probably will be looking at the veteran OL cut by other teams anyway later this week. I’m sure we can do much better than stashing Josh Ball.

Ball hasn't been great but has shown improvement. I'm thinking we'll be working some unique roster moves to try to stash him. Cut a player we plan to bring immediately back, etc.

Yup. Except I'm thinking they want to keep the option of him returning open for now. Just in case they need him but it'll be off to or if they don't.
Can’t remember how many can return
