Josh Ball?

During OTAs/mini-camp Broaddus claimed that Josh Ball looked really small compared to the the other OLinemen.

That appears to be completely wrong based on this image from training camp...

Broaddus probably saw Bell on a Jersey and thought it was Ball.

He was looking at #35. Looks like NALL..

Alex Barron was a veteran when Dallas traded for him. He still stunk. Being a veteran offers no advantage if the talent is not there.

There is no need to bring a veteran in if the veteran is no better than the young players on the roster.

Tyrone has not played a full season since 2015, so you know he cant be counted on.

Well considering our current situation, the longer Tyrone remains healthy the better off this entire OL is, so we can only hope for the best at this point.
I have read the articles on availability, and thats fine if we can some how find a decent swing to bring in, but just dont see much unless toatlly desperate ever floating around esp at LT.

It sounds like we may have missed the opportunity to address this issue.

Its early so not necessarily, all teams will have to make some hard cuts, so its anyone guess these days what could happen honestly, nothing surprises me anymore.
Maybe SJ was actually speaking the truth for the first time saying that patience is a virtue or however he stated that we are exercising due diligence, that's totally cool if
the opportunity truly presents itself and we bring someone decent in.
I dont have a problem with the way this roster is being built.

We have not.

They, IMO, are rightfully seeing what they have in house with the young guys before spending salary cap dollars on old guys that may or may not still want to play.

Just because it is a name you recognize, doesn’t mean they’re any better than Ball may be. They need to find out.

We will see if they are right or not. They certainly know more about Ball and Waletzko than we do.

Choices have to be made with a salary cap… they are betting that the young guys will be able to do it.

Keep in mind that the last few years when they did sign a veteran swing tackle in free agency, they didn’t really get anything that was worth their money. They weren’t really any better than what they can get now, to be honest.
