If the coaching staff truly believes he's ready to step up as the nose tackle of our defense (while moving Rat to DE to prolong his career i.e. Greg Ellis part deux), Brent could be a key ingredient to our defense.

This would mean we would only have one need at the other defensive end spot, assuming Spears is not re-signed.

This guy was picked in the supplemental draft, basically got no training camp time because of the hand injury, and still played pretty well during the year.

What do you guys think of Brent after a full offseason?

I really like what Brent brought to the table this year, I think he's going to be a good player for Dallas.

Right, but then we'd need another DT. Either way, we need another D lineman.

Oh, I totally agree. I was just talking in terms of starters on defense. It would kill two birds with one stone if Brent develops into our starting DT.

Reminds me of a Leon Lett.

Incredibly gifted Manchild who needs a lot of direction.

I think he will be a great player for us ...... but we need to find a great DC that can get it out of him.

I am looking forward to seeing how he improves after a whole off-season of strength and conditioning at the pro level.
