RFA from Seattle -- he'll cost a 7th. Up and coming place kicker -- nice range (hit 5-8 from 50+ last year) -- a little inconsistent but he's sometimes dealing with a wet ball. Decent kickoffs.

If we can't land Vini - Brown could be an option -- if the Hawks match the Hutchinson contract they aren't going to have any way to match an offer sheet on Brown.

You have read about Hutchinson's contract correct? If the 'Hawks match, he could make upwards of $50 million GURANTEED if he is not the highest paid lineman on that squad.

I'm not so sure Walter Jones would care too much for that.

I would give the Seabirds a 7th if it comes to that. We just got a 6th back I belive with Scott F. trade. SO we would basically be him for a pick we weren't going to use anyway.

Wow...I am surprised no one remembers how Josh Brown literally fell apart last year. Why do you think he is available for a 7th rounder? Even though he beat the Boys that one game, he almost put the Boys in the playoffs with his misses too. Clutch? Not yet....especially with his year end performances. However, seeing as though it is his second year, I think he will definitely improve and is a great prospect for only a 7th rounder (if true).

There is some debate about whether that aspect of the contract is required to be matched. A team doesn't have to match a contract word for word - it isn't clear what they do and don't have to match - but you can bet the hawks are going to try to match without that part in the contract.

serves them right for being stupid and using the transition tag instead of franchising him.
