Seahawks | Team tenders J. Brown
Mon, 6 Mar 2006 06:01:34 -0800

Mike Sando, of the Tacoma News Tribune, reports the Seattle Seahawks have tendered a one-year, $712,000 offer to restricted free agent PK Josh Brown. The team would receive a seventh-round draft pick as compensation if he signs elsewhere.

So yeah, it's true. Problem is, our front office is probably not smart enough to figure things out with/for him.

do it, i hate how me makes a 50+ yarder to beat the cowboys, but misses at 39 yarder to beat the skins. yet another tragic turn our season took.

If Adam V is not going to happen, go get this guy.

Not only do I not want to give up the 7th pick I am hoping we find a way to get more picks and bring in more players. our second day picks were fantastic last year. There is no need to discount a pick now that we have jeff ireland running the scouting and the draft.

Ratliff, crayton, pettiti all 6 or 7 and will be important to the future of this team in some way. They dont make much money and they contribute. That is how you build a winner.

Vanderjagt for no pick. Missing that FG vs Pitt could prove advantageous for us.

I'll pass - he choked on the worlds biggest stage. He's scarred and his career is going to flame. Watch it.

I agree. I don't think that we could draft anything better in the 7th round. I think Vin. is staying in NE.

the kicks he missed were 50 and 54 yards lol

They'll match any reasonable offer, so forget it.

They wouldn't match the type of money Vinateiri or Vanderjagt would ask for. I can guarantee that.

If they both aren't available, I would sign Brown to a deal the Seahawks would turn their nose up at. He is by far better than anyone that would be left.

He'd be a good pick up.

Still young and can be had for a 7th. If the long-term money Hawks are offering is the same, he'd prolly stay there.

Honestly, I'd like that signing much more than signing one of the other "name" kickers. Just cuz of the youth factor.

Correct me if im wrong someone, but I'm pretty sure he made those two distances against us to beat us

yes, but its not like missing 50+ yard FGs makes u a scrub

Thats 0%

On the biggest stage = choked and kept his team down.

Pass -

Go track another famous choker - N1GN Greg Norman and report back where his plane is.:(

I don't want Brown.

I'd rather have VanderCrack

Just go and sign Adam Vin. to a 5 year 15 mill. contract. Will be well worth it when it's all said and done.
