And another head coach (see Steve Spurrier) who didn't think he needed a franchise QB. After 3/4 of his first season he looked like a genius. Now look at the Bears and look at the Broncos and ask which one will be looking for a QB, and perhaps for a very long time.

Was the OC for NE....do you look at him for OC?

I wouldn't mind bringing him in as a QB coach/offensive assistant/OC for Garrett because I think he's a bright young offensive mind, and I like that he has a degree in mathematics, but he was just way too green and in over his head as a head coach/defacto GM.

This was basically the Jim Zorn thing West. Starting 6-0 and fell off and not make the playoffs and it continued into this season. Wonder if the video tape thing sealed it.

no but he might be a nice QB coach. I've said quite a bit that Garrett's staff is going to need guys with HC experience who aren't real threats to him as a HC -- a fired former genius coordinator seems about right

They should have given him more time. I'm still not certain that he made the wrong decision about Cutler. Needs a few more years to be certain.

I think that was really more about Cutler being such a jerk

I bet after the first four games last year, Broncos fans were certain they had their head coach for the next 10 years. ;)

Bears are winning because they're playing great defense and running the ball as much as any team in the league.

If they ever have to depend on Cutler to carry them, they'll be back where they were last year.

Cutler is like Phillip Rivers -- if you took River's mouth and about half his talent.

I love McDaniels as a coordinator.

:lmao: He forced Brandon Marshall and Jay Cutler to leave, he traded away Peyton Hillis, and leaves them with Tebow. What a great two years Josh!

Pretty much nails it.

If they had kept Marshall and Hillis they'd be a pretty good team.
