Advance apologies to the OP but has there been anything official from the NFL regarding Joseph's possible personal conduct situation regarding the off field thing? Or did I miss it?

Just seems like some kinda official report would have come out by now to officially address his playing status. Unless it's all been settled in the NFL's eyes by him not being prosecuted.

I just thought the NFL would have pursued the matter further and even if not, certainly made an official announcement before the opening game.

Last I read there was nothing because he was a cleared of any wrongdoing

Good news to have Lewis back, hope he's fully healthy. Either way, Bland will be ready if Lewis has a setback.

KJ seems to be a proper choice to be inactive Sunday night.

He is participating in the ongoing investigation so unlikely to be punished at this time.
NFL certainly won't sit him games all while law enforcement needs his testimony to convict.

Oh okay. I thought with how the whole Zeke situation went down that the NFL would have possibly put Joseph on suspension just for being at the scene of the crime. Regardless if he was testifying in their investigation or not.

Jerry and Goodell's past history made me think he would have possibly been suspended just on GP.

Who’s inactive Sunday, Joseph or Wright? Great chance one of them will be inactive.

I have heard nothing but NFL does not have a time line so if they are still investigating what took place they still have the power to hand down punishment. I hope that ends up not being the case

The good news regarding the progress of Gallup in his recovery continues to pour in.

Gallup has not yet been cleared to return to practice, but he has passed his physical and, as such, avoided being placed on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list to begin the season. A move that would've deleted him entirely for the first four games.

The difference is that the girlfriend claimed his involvement and domestic violence was a touchy subject for the league at the time. As far as we know, no one has claimed that Joseph was involved in the shooting, only that he was there. I think the players' association would get outraged if he was suspended just for being present at a crime because that opens up all kinds of problems for their union.

If the case is still under investigation then I don't think Goodell will be able to get much information. At least not enough to make a ruling that would insinuate that Goodell himself is an authority above and before the law.

No worries Goodell can always wait until the proper moment that would affect the Cowboys the most. I still think he will get some time off.
