Jourdan Lewis is done with a decade of frustration

I know some around here view it as them being petty or bad teammates but I'm glad to see some stand up and call the Dallas Clown Show out
Man to man in private is the right way. Not when your out the building or about to be.

Sad that they consider these sub-par teams a better football environment than Dallas.
The brands are subpar but the teams are actually run as if sucess on the field is paramount.

Here, the brand and tours come first.....the past players all say the same thing

Before FA period started. Lewis said he wanted to stay in Dallas. Now he is gone, because Jerry did not think he was worth $30 million.

He is full of sour grapes. Adios. But our fans will eat this up.
Join DLaw at the campfire and whine about it.
That’s right, whine about getting paid $30m.
I’d whine too!

Doesn't mean they can't be frustrated. Players want to get paid, but they like to win, too. If they see the team that is paying them isn't doing everything to win, I'm sure that doesn't sit well.

It's taken years for a lot of our fans to figure out that the Joneses aren't going to go after top free agents. Just because a player re-signs with us doesn't mean that they know we are not going to do it.

Now, I agree that both Lawrence and Lewis would have re-signed with Dallas if the money was right, but now that they are gone, I see no problem with them saying they were frustrated by it.
If they resigned here, they would be claiming it is a great place, it is where they want to be. And how they have a chance to win a SB.

And everyone knows it.

Since none of us play for the team, I will take the players words.
Since none of us play for the team, or know the players. I don't buy it from either side.
All wasted words. If a fan believes them, them do it. It is more from frustration with this FO more than anything else.
If Dallas made the playoffs, won a game. Possibly lost the NFCCG. Fans would have a different tune about it.

Yeah, but I don't think that means they can't express their frustration when they leave. While they're here, it wouldn't be right for them to talk bad about the team that just signed them.

But let’s call it what it is. They went for more money not because they want to win.
Both can be true, but money takes precedence. If the money is the same, or reasonably close to the same, the decision falls upon personal desires. That can be winning, or family considerations.

I mean it could be anything. It could be going to a better scheme. But if someone is serious about winning they aren’t going to those two teams.

Cmon Jourdan . You trash Dallas on your way out the door then sign with bottom feeders Jax . It’s all about the $$ you don’t give a damn about “ frustration “ or “ winning “ .

I never took his tweet as a shot. Some people need to either have better discernment or stop being so emotional
I agree that it wasn’t a shot the way most here think it was. IMO, this was a shot at ownership. He likely feels like he wasn’t paid relative to his value and my bet is Jerry tried to lowball him again. That was my interpretation of the first tweet and I think it’s pretty clear from the second.

And to his credit, he took the high road in the second tweet by saying he understood it was a business. But his real feelings and frustrations are the second half of that sentence when he talks about how he increased his value because he “fought so hard for the organization”. To me, that indicates that Jerry likely tried to get him on the cheap again and he wasn’t having it.

Jourdan Lewis was a lot more important to the Cowboys success than just what he did on the field. Lewis was one of the true locker room leaders from what I have read and heard.

And just like DLaw, Dalton Schultz, Payton Hendershot, and other former Cowboys, when these guys leave, they feel free to say what they couldn’t while in Dallas.

That doesn’t make me mad. It just reinforces what many of us already knew. We have problems on and off the field.
True locker room leader? Maybe yours, not mine. Throw your team, which includes your teammates under the bus and you think that's OK? Wow!

Why are CZ members getting all up in arms about a former Cowboys player? So what if Lewis got fed up with the losing and was ready to move on. Why would you judge that? Are you that big of a loser? I swear some of you have the mentality of little kids and their stupid tree house club. Oooooh, DLaw and JLewis have cooties!!! I don’t like them. It’s like watching the old bags on The View. It’s disgusting!!

I think you are interpreting his tweets wrong. I don’t think he was throwing his teammates under the bus at all. I think his frustration is with Jerry, being underpaid, and likely lowballed again. To me, it’s crystal clear who his beef is with from the second tweet. If you eliminated his first more cryptic tweet and just looked at the second, would you still feel the same way?
