Jourdan Lewis: We don't care about impressive. A win is a win

LOL

So far, you've beaten three teams that won't be in the playoffs. Last night was the best of those three, but still....

Do it against the Lions, the 49ers, the teams that really matter, and then we'll get excited.
They all matter, my friend. Every single one. Washington is the new media darling, but their wins are over 2 teams that are 2-3 and 2 teams that are 1-4, losing to a team that is currently 3-2.

You play the teams on your schedule, and they are all rosters of professional players with professional coaches. To be honest, this time of year I think it’s just as difficult to beat these teams as those with winning records. Everyone fights like crazy to avoid going 0-2. Everyone is fighting to save their seasons. I would not want to play the 1-4 Bengals next week. Later, many of these teams will be nursing injuries instead of selling out for a turnaround. Until you reach the postseason, a win over KC means no more than a win over Carolina.

Josh Fields is losing that team, so it'll depend if Russell Wilson wants to be an NFL quarterback again or not.

Fields is atrocious. Dallas should have beaten that team 31-10. Our defense looked outstanding, but I'm afraid it was because they were playing a high school quarterback.
They are not great on offense obviously, good for about 13-21 points in a game. (Scored 24 against Indy but I think that's their bar with Fields.) But their defense has held most of their opponents down enough to the point where low scores win. They almost did it to us. Not sure there's a lot of teams they face where that won't be effective enough. Obviously, the top ones, but there's a bunch of middling teams.

u will care when u play like that again and detroit hangs 50 on u

The Cardinals just beat the 49ers.

Also, going into this game, Justin Fields had completed 71 percent of his passes. Granted, he wasn't throwing as much as someone like Dak, but his accuracy was complementing his running ability. He's never going to be a QB who can win shootouts, but he had gotten the job done well enough considering the strength of the team is its defense.

The previous week against Indy, Fields completed 64.7 percent of his passes for 312 yards. Against us, he completed 55.6 percent for 131. The 64.7 had been his lowest completion percentage through the first five games. ... So maybe even I'm giving the defense less credit that in deserves for its performance against the Steelers.
