i've never seen a 268 pound running back with the balance, footwork, will and pure strength this young man has.

he and stephen won that brutal game in three overtimes in 95 degree heat today.

stephen can run the hell out of an option.

the o- line deserves a lot of credit as well.........but lane is a damn beast!!

The J-Train is a beast...

The only reason he went to A&M was that Franchione is the only coach in D1 that promised he could play tailback... and he tried to reneg...

I have followed his career since he was a freshman in HS as he played for my alma mater...

He is 268, powerful and runs around a 4.5 40...

Teams need to consider him RB... that is what he is...

He is much more a tailback than is Brandon Jacobs...

I made this comment last year I never seen a big guy with the feet he has.

I still think he needs to drop about 18 or so more pounds when he goes to the pro's. What amazes me is his cut back ability for such a powerful runner he is not just a full speed ahead power back

I don't get to watch much Texas A&M football but when I saw this kid playing yesterday I thought back to the one back they had at one time.

Toombs or something like that.

I have no clue if they are close to the same size but I just remember that being a big kid who ran well.

Like I said I don't get to watch A&M much so maybe they are nothing alike but that is who I thought of when I watched the game yesterday.

I don't think Toombs was quite as big, but I thought he was a better runner. Lane is a force in college. I am not sure he will be quite the force in the NFL. He could be very useful though as a change of pace back. He will need to be in a two back system.

I am disappointed with McGee's passing. He was a stellar passer in high school at near by Burnet. So far he is not that good in college. Part of that was injuries to his shoulder. McGee is a heck of a leader and very good at the option, but he will need to improve his passing for A&M to beat some of the tougher teams. Not that Fresno was not tough.

J'Mar Toombs was a better RB but had a .10 head.
