Juanyeh Thomas the new Darren Woodson

Could Juanyeh Thomas be an X factor on this years defense like Darren Woodson was here in Dallas. He is being played at Safety as well as slot corner and he also plays special teams because he simply likes the contact. This is the way The Great Darren Woodson played the game ,could Juanyeh Thomas be the next great player to play multiple positions in the Cowboys secondary, Let's discuss.
Great.

Another "Could <insert name of 7th round draft pick or UDFA whose never done anything on the field> become a Hall of Fame Player for us?"

Geez I hate this time of year in Zaney Zoner Land.

I don't take it as a comparison. The OP is just asking a question.
Could he be?

Thomas is also being tried as a slot CB. So if he is also used as a S, his normal position. What if comes into play.
Woodson was a LB in college. And was put in at S. Did anyone think back then it would work? Probably not.

It is no different than any other player being asked if he could be the next .... whoever ....

It is just a question a fan ask, for opinions. I see nothing wrong with it.
Zaney Zoners have a right to their opinions as do the Zany Zoner Dislikers. All are opinionated Zaney Zoners.

Could Undrafted Free Agent Rivaldo Fairweather (TIght End) become a FASTER, SMARTER Rob Gronkowski?

Hmmmmmm.????? We would be unstoppable if that happens. It could, you know.

we can't make everything about coaching incompetence because we have an affinity for a player. otherwise people will argue that 39 players need to be on the field because they think he is special. he was an UDFA. he has a fat chance to begin with. now people think he is special!!! I am not dismissing coaching, but it can't be the only reason. he has had multiple coaches and results been the same....

so come on now...not every player on this team is special. he is limited in several capacities
All the players are “special” in June. Isn’t the point of the off season fans making ridiculously stupid comments about players’ ability and their favorite team’s prospects for the upcoming season?

Just as some says everything sucks every year at this time also.
But both sides makes for good discussions. Well hopefully good. Usually arguments.

One can hope. We’ll see what happens this year. It’s hard for laymen like us to judge a safety, as well as most players, unless you watch the coaches tape and focus on the individual player. We can get a good idea about QB’s, RB’s, WR’s because they are focused on throughout the game.

Even the ones that do watch coaches tape, most still do not know what is really going on. They just think they do.

I am not saying Malik Hooker and Donavan Wilson are not good players because I know they are.But I think Thomas could be a future play maker that could play multiple positions in the secondary and on special teams. He could be an X factor , a poor man's Darren Woodson is very possible with the right coaching.Darren Woodson is one of my players to wear the star.
You keep saying that and we're telling you you're off base it's ok if that's the way you want to use it as a comp even though you're wrong how about we just hope he can be as good as Donovan Wilson or Malik hooker, when they were at their prime that's a better expectation you're putting expectations on a guy that should be in Hall of Fame by the way that's that's a whole other subject but he was but he's not Darren Woods and he's not as fast he's not as good not yet and I'm sorry about the X Factor we'll take right now a fresh pair of legs and new kid with the potential to be a replacement for Donovan Wilson or Mali Cooker it's pretty simple you're just putting some really crazy expectations and using one of the best players that ever played in the nfl and for the Dallas Cowboys and just sticking out on a guy that's been buried for three seasons...

If you wanna use cowboy safeties of the past don't pick Darren Woodson he's not Darren Woodson I don't even think he'll ever be Darren Woodson that's what we're trying to tell you woody is on his own level and he deserves praise to be alongside other guys like that were maybe closer like Roy Williams we've had other guys on this team that were pretty good safeties but Darren Woodson was the best...

Yeah but you don't have to be a head in the cloud delusional fan he is not Darren Woodson he'll probably never be Darren Woodson it was a bad comp we the only turned out to be a good starting safety that's great there no comp needed but if your hope is he's better than Donovan Wilson or Malik hooker that would be a better start to your delusion lol

How if you want to call them James Washington I don't care hell if you even want to call them the next bill that's fine but when you start calling him Darren Woodson it's over it was bad as as soon as the post reply button was hit..

It's almost as bad as the post about our new pass rash your easy E comparing him to possibly TJ Watt are you kidding me can we stay realistic I don't mind people coming in here and trying to make a comp but when you're so far off that it should have never been posted you're gonna get blowback like you're getting right here right now...

Wasn't there a post somewhere about Phil mafah they were putting all kinds of crazy oh he looks like Derek Henry are you serious somebody all need to calm down can we just call him possibly a Marion Barber?/!!! :muttley::oldcouple::popcorn:

Exactly I always thought Thomas and bell have the potential to be our starting future safeties but comparing him to Darren Woodson is where this completely went sideways, this a car crash it's as bad as the whole easy E looks like TJ Watt and Phil Mafah looks like Derek Henry where are people coming up with this stuff..

And we start with more realistic stuff?

Why don't we just say we hope Thomas and Bell turn into be better players or great replacements for our current safeties that would be a nice start..

I see no chance he isn't at least as good as Woodson was

None of that made any sense the whole sentence sounds like it was a contradiction I don't even know where you stand that's very confusing.. You trying to tell me that it's a no-brainer that Thomas is going to at least be good as Woodson because that's what it sounds like you're saying but at the same time you might be saying the opposite..lol

If you think it's a number brainer this kid's going to be as good as Woodson you're crazy delusional like the rest of everyone who's discounting how great Darren Woodson really was he had better physical traits and already proven commodity and you're trying to put that pressure on a guy going into what year three hasn't done really much he's fully on potential maybe he'll be James Washington but for sure he's not going to be Darren Woodson...

I'm going to go out on a limb and predict that they waive the rule where a player isn't eligible for the Hall of Fame until five years after retirement and put Thomas into the Hall next Summer

 TOO SOON Please don't make unnecessary comps this early the answer is no..

By the way I wonder how many games Darren Woodson missed in his career it's been a while but I'm betting not many Thomas and Bell need to stay on the field them complaining and they're not getting enough playing time people forget they've been injured....More so Bell

So maybe just maybe the new coaching staff will help a lot of careers here I mean sometimes the old staff have their favorites now the new staff gets to choose who they want to start and what not but it's going to take a lot to remove Donovan Wilson and Hooker from starting reps...

I've always liked Thomas and Bell but they have not arrived enough for you to start a post and compare them to possible Darren Woodson just because of position flex....TOO SOON..
Not at all...well trained men do stand up.

Prove that beyond a feeling related...

This guy has youth on his side it will be up to the coaching staff to put him in position to succeed, he is being played at multiple positions in the secondary. So he may become a player for this team if given a chance to play.He has good size and athleticism along with confidence in his ability to play different positions. The kid has some tools to work with, and he could become a difference maker here if he is put in the right situation.I think he has more speed than Hooker or Wilson.
I agree, he has proven he is a valid football player and with field ready talents.:flagwave:
