i remember a couple of years ago about the same time, we were all ready for free agency to get started and we didnt make a single move for almost a month, i hope this isnt true again this year.

Yup. And we also had a lot of cool customers acting like their bleep didn't stink and making fun of the folks who see the writing on the wall, just like we do this year. (I know because I was one of 'em!) We'll get some players, but because the Cowboys haven't been mentioned yet, I've gotta believe we're really not going for anyone other than some old Bill guys and start hoping for a good draft again.

There is soo much money out there to be had by the players that noone is rushing out and taking the first offer like in previous years. Any agent thats worth a damn is going to have his player make several visits and hope to drive the price up. This is a totally different year free agent wise. Before they would take the first big offer because there were soo few teams that had alot of money to spend. Now, everyone does. Everyone's price went up, so what you think may be overspending is now just the going rate. We all have to get used to it!

Since diabetes has forced me to become a teetotaler these last 5 months, I'll safely blow off such base accusations...

OTOH, I did the research, and apparently good herb does not have a deleterious effect on diabetes, so if they told me I was STONED, my only response would be "not stoned enough"...

Yeah, this crap happens every year... even last year, when we DID make a big splash in the opening hours of free agency, after a few days the signings stopped for a while, and the Chicken Littles set up their piteous wail...

It's quite tiresome, really, you'd think some of these guys would have learned by now... indeed, an argument can be made that the only reliable way to sign a free agent real early in the process is to overpay him... otherwise, the guy would be a fool not to shop his services around...

Just sit back and enjoy the show.

Just a small update for you. Longwell is scheduled to stop in Dallas today. Adam vinaterari is scheduled to stop in Tampa before coming here. Fabini has left the ranch unsigned and we are trying to scedule a visit with Steve Neal from New England.
