I do have to admit that Jones actually seemed to cut away from kosiers back in the game. He cut right one time and got good yardage off of it and i was floored. i was expecting the Kosier Shuffle again.

kudos to jones!

He lives off those cuts, and when he doesn't do them correctly his entire game falters. That is Seattle 2004, Carolina 2005 cutting right there. Those are reminiscent of the 150-200 yard performances he's had.

Now if we can just get him to stay healthy and keep cutting...
Was it a cut to the right? Because Julius has never had a cut to the right (never had an impressive one, at least). He only has the side step to the left (which is absolutely deadly).

He cut both directions tonight, but unfortunately we didn't get to see enough of him to be sure that he can cut like that consistently. But from what I saw, he looked damned impressive on both sides of center.

He was behind the line and running left behind the guard. instead of running into the pile he cut back and got 5+ yards. It was the antithesis of his play especially at the end of last year.

Now i still want to see him do well after getting 150 carries on the season but its a start.

That's great to hear he's doing this. As I mentioned earlier in the week, I think there's really something to this Mr. Robotic mumbo jumbo. He certainly looked more fluid and instinctive in Preseason Week 1. Can't wait til tomorrow to see this one.

I'll be at the Houston game on Saturday. Hopefully they'll give us more time to evaluate Julius in that game.

OGT, I recommend you look at the Giants game his rookie year. He was cutting right and left there all game long.

Everybody now knows where the ball's going on third and short-- right behind Leonard Davis... that would be a problem, except even when they know where it's going, they don't seem to be able to stop it...

It's almost like having a young Larry Allen back out there... I like it, I like it a lot...
Now your talking!!!
