Great Job JJ!! Improving on his league leading 97 yds pers game! Woohoo! How many yards does he have for the season now? I wonder where he ranks.

He's at 497 for five games. However, his ranking may actaully drop. Several RB's (Tiki Barber and Warrick Dunn for example) had HUGE games, and they were only a few spots behind him. I, for one, could care less about his ranking. As long as he keeps giving us 100 per....we cool. we cool.

I think he actually went op to 98 ypg but still Tiki or Dunn may have passed him this week.

They both had huge 140+ yard games however JJ is consistantly cranking out steady production. If Marion Barber was not taking some carries from him he may have even more yards (or less if you consider MB3 is giving him needed rest to keep his legs fresher)

i'm really liking the way julius is running the ball this year.

He'd definitely have more yards...but would the Cowboys? Would he still be healthy? Would he be getting over 4.0 yards per carry? I doubt it.

Also, JJ was ranked 6th after last week.

Barber had 185 rushing

Henry had 178

Dunn had 146

The biggest difference I see is he's not taking those big hits every other carry now, seem's he's learned a few things. Hopefully he'll make it the whole season.

Let's not forget he's run in one less game than many of these other guys...

What a horrible thread. We need more negative TO and Bledsoe threads dude, get with the program.;)

yes jimmy..i agree

another thing l see is he's not worried about fumbling and running with much fluidity.

Steady wins the race, I'd rather Juluis always hit the century mark then be like his former version or Warrick Dunn and randomly slash someone out of the blue for 150 to 180 but follow it up with 60 yards the next game. Julius could potentially make a serious push for the rushing crown but still miss the pro bowl because he isn't used in goal line situations and lacks touch downs accordingly.

This is what we needed to get from JJ. Consistently at or near 100 yards a game. While the 200 yard games were fun to watch, the 50 yard games were just as excruciating.

yup i agree i love the consistency lets hope for his health i cannot stand to see him get hurt.

i saw him grabbing at his hamstring some today hopefully that will go away for him.

I am excited about Jones. He is becoming more consistent and will have the opportunity to bust some long ones in there too. On one play where he ran into his own lineman, leaned toward the inside for about 2 yards. Had he leaned outside, he may have busted a very long run because the outside defender's momentum was carrying him inside.

Jones and the running game have been a very pleasant surprise. If he keeps it up then he will have a 1,400 yards season easily

Like I said, hes hungry. Julius is currently my favorite Cowboy, going through injuries is something I've endured, and taking criticism from people who think you aren't all that. But Julius is slowly becoming a much feared back in the NFL, keep up the good work Julius.
