So much promise up until that shoulder injury his rookie season. All down hill after that.

Pretty crazy. I thought he was gonna be amazing for awhile there.

not to be methodical but it was after his sholder injury he made that crazy 8xx yards run he had

Wow you people are harsh. Kicking a guy for what he did with 4 carries in a preseason game. Those 3 runs that were crap there was absolutely nowhere to go, especially those last two. Very few RBs would have gotten anything more than he did.

Ummm....I beg to differ with you, but Barber would have made his own hole. I'm not picking on JJ either.....I'm just saying.

*playing devils advocate*

so your saying he would have plowed over the o-line men or has the speed to bust it out side?

It's way too early to judge how JJ will do in Seattle. Will the change in scenary, running behind a different OL & a different offensive scheme improve his running game? Only time will tell.

Yhea, there wasn't anywhere to go on a couple of those plays. It's too early to judge him on such limited carries anyway.

But that said, I doubt he's suddenly transformed into what he was his rookie season. But I guess we'll see.

Consider me harsh then. When a player who was given every chance to succeed and but then does nothing but badmouth his former team implying he didn't deserves every bit of distain that can be thrown his way.

For that, I wish nothing but dismal failure on him and it appears he's off to good start.

Julius has no vision, it's obvious if you watched him here

Fine criticize him for what he did here (though that's been done to death) but to criticize him for his recent preseason performance is plain stupidity.

The general point is that his preseason performance was very similar to what he did here. One big play, well, not really big but impressive when everything else consists of running into your linemen and falling down after a few yards.

The Seattle's coaching staff is thinking the same thing. Look, yes, it's preseason but when you are in a battle for a roster spot with the season around the corner you got to bring it even if their are not alot of touches.

I wonder what Julius' excuse will be this year when Maurice Morris beats him out at RB?

I am not sad we got rid of him he is inconcistent and is not really that fast and he can't really read the field or break tackles he is not very good. Confidence may be an ishue but you can only use that excuse so much.
