I realized this yesterday...he's had a tough season...missed alot of time due to injury...suffered a bit of the sophmore jinx...etc....

Yet...he might end up with 1100 yards.

Not bad...not bad at all.

Were talking about reality though... 1100 is a big possibility, especially the way JJo ran on Saturday. No not you Reality! reality!

Well, if you want, we could talk about Reality instead of reality. :)

And yeah...1100 isn't an earth shattering number but it's darn good when we look what he's gone through this year...not the least of which was the awful play of the O Line.

JJ has had a horrible season, but at least hes finishing strong. He should have a huge day against the Rams. Well probably not huge based on what he did yesterday, but he should go over 100 yards and maybe get a TD.

:laugh2: LMAO!

Yeah, I'll take Bledsoe getting sacked 3 times per game any day if the running game works like it did against Carolina... finish the season strong, get more OL help in FA and the draft and then open next year with a real bang. ;)

Yes he was. I think he was running with the confidence his ankle was healed. Before, it may or may not have been 100% healed, but he did not have the confindence it was 100%, so it seemed to the fans.

But he did not do this in 16 games, How many did he miss this year. 3-4 - so thats 12-13 games at 1000. Thats not bad.

No, a joke is starting all 16 games having a 189 yard game and still not reaching the 1000 yard rushing mark.

That's what the Cowboys had at running back in 2003. Also shows me that 1,000 yards is no walk in the park.

there are far too many 1000 yard rushers for that to be the measuring stick anymore...i think 1200 is a good bar

Did you also know that he is 12th in the league at yards per game? Ahead of many starters, like Lamont Jordan, Steven Jackson, and right under rookie sensation Cadillac Williams? And this is splitting alot of time with MB3.

Very good point. Just goes to show you how high our (and the media's) expectations were for JJ.

I'm still convinced that Parcells tinkered with JJ's running style in addition to him being injured. Now, apparently, Parcells has learned to just let Julius run the way he naturally does it.

Next year should be a big year for JJ.

While I agree that 1000 yards is nothing for 16 games, it IS something for the amount of games that he DID play.

Not only that, but splitting alot of those games that he did play in with another RB.

So, yes, it is more impressive than what it otherwise looks like.

2 things. First, we rebuild the line for him. Second, he runs like he did vs. Carolina in each and every game. Do that and he will have a huge year.

Could some of you get the point??!! JJ has not been healthy all season, and has missed all or part of 5 games. Of course 1,000 yards is not THE measuring stick for RBs who have started & been healthy most of a season....but for Julius to come back like he did from a high ankle sprain, (which are far more serious than most realize), and have a chance to reach 1,100 yrds., that's saying something.

Many of you have been dissing JJ most of the season. The first half of the season, he was battling nagging injuries that took away some of his quickness, and many of you said he had lost a step & wasn't good enough to be the feature back. Then he comes back too soon from a very painful high ankle sprain, and all I heard was MBIII. Finally JJ gets to 100% for the first time all season this week, and he showed what kind of back we have, and he is our hero again. Come on! We are just so quick to throw out the baby with the bath water as soon as a guy gets hurt, or has a bad game. It's time to support Julius Jones ALL year long! When healthy, there are very few RBs in this league I would rather have. Dude is a Cowboy, so let's not support him just when the bandwagon is full.
