His TD was a run into the middle where he looked like he'd be stopped for no gain, and then he bounced it out the backside and sprinted to the endzone.

People disliked him because after his rookie year he was an average player.
calling him an average player after his rookie year is being nice

He followed up his rookie year with about 900 yards and then 1100 yards with a 100-yard performance in the playoffs. Things really turned in his 4th season.

I do think he wasn't the same runner after his rookie year and I really do think it was because Parcells got inside his head too much. Maybe he needed to get out of Dallas to find his game again.

Anyhow, I wish him well. I think the better he does, the higher the compensation pick we get from the league. Hopefully we'll get a 3rd rounder for Julius.

We probably won't get a comp pick for Julius because we picked up both Felix and Tashard. We filled his loss with equal or better.

Why do we continue to have a Julius thread every week?

Felix > Julius.

:)
exactly, theres no way julius jones runs like that against the nfc east, or any worth opponent. and felix will do much much more.

JJ was a hard worker here. I dont see why anybody would dislike him. But, being on this board i see people dislike players for the smallest things imaginable.

Some do. But most here were disappointed more than dislike.

He's better than average and always has been. He just didn't look the same player as the first year and Barber is better than he is. It's that simple.

I'm happy Julius is doing well, happier still that we now have Felix...

You're wrong about that, Mike... DRAFTING players to replace one lost does not affect the free agent equation, it's signing another free agent with "equal or better"...

The Boys signed no free agents this offseason (Pac-Man came via trade, Thomas came after he was cut by the Fins), so they should be due compensation for their free agent losses this offseason... this means Julius, Reeves and perhaps even Nate Jones...
