OK. I know our oustide line is terrible, but c'mon. Good Running backs can make something outta nothing. Jones jus isnt makeing his cuts like he was last year. I think we need to give Marion Barber more carries. Dont get me wrong, i think Jones is still our future at RB, but we gotta go with what works. Right now just gettin 3.3 yards a carry doesnt work. I dunno, it just seems he is not stepping it up and performing like he should..Anyone agree?

I think you need at least a servicable O-line to make any sort of impact. Case in point, Emmett Smith. He played behind one of the best o-lines ever assembled, and it showed, and in his later years when our lines werent up to snub his numbers declined, although age was certainly a factor too.

He seems tentative and worried about fumbling and getting tackled for a loss more than trying to get a big play. I actually thought yesterday was his best game, had 2 or 3 yards of 9-10 yards. The one run that bothered me was that one where he didnt get to the corner and osi umenyiora got him short of the first down. Other than that i thought he played well. Seems to me that its his sophomore slump. Next year he should be able to find a balance between not losing yards and knowing when to bounce outside to try for a big gain.

Ahhh sophmore slump...yes T-New had that and look at him this year. Im still concerned we r not using Barber enough, heck maybe even Thompson.

Is JJ a 100%.....I doubt it.

This is definitely not the same JJ that we witnessed last season.

Speed is not there, cuts are not there, and all one has to do is compare his quickness through the hole to Barbers.

I hate saying this, but JJ's durability is suspect.

He definately isn't the same JJ. I recently watched some of the Giants game (last game) from last year. Some of the cuts he was making was ridiculous. Some of the runs were very Barry Sander like. This year alot of his runs are very Troy Hambrick like.
