It's no surprise that when his carries dropped below 20, his avg per carry went down and his yards per game were cut in half. It's also no surprise that the last 4+ weeks he has seen the lowest carry amount of the year and we have looked terrible.
However, it's too tempting to go at Seattle's corners until they stop us.

We won't be running the ball much in this game. Our defense couldn't stop Jon Kitna or Jeff Garcia.
We are doomed in the playoffs unless by some miracle the defense wakes up and the coaches find their brains.

Julius played well early in the season when he was getting the ball 20+ times a game. He is too much of a threat to only be getting the ball about 10 times a game. Every runningback gets better as the game goes on and julius is no different.
And barber hasn't done a whole lot the last 2 weeks either so u can't say the reason our running game sucks is julius. If we would give him the draw plays in passing situations instead of barber, his average would be just as good as barber's. The fact is, barber normally gets the carries when we have established some offense and the defense is no longer keying in on just the run.
Julius never gets the opportunity to run late in the ball game when the defense is wore down a little. He played tremendous early in the year when he actually got as many carries as he should.
