Since I start him every week in FF, at a point a catch, I'm all for it. Also think the Steelers could throw it to Parker a little more.

I think of Parker and Julius Jones in the same breath sort of speak but I like Jones better of course...

Again with the last 6 quarters, our basic new dynamic that will make up this team for the remainder of the season, perhaps our decade, we don't need to throw the short stuff, we're finally able to get it down the field consistantly.

No excuses for when Bledsloe was behind center though. In fact a few screens would have worked well for him and this team. We just don't need them now though. Save 'em. With our two RBs it will be a great surprise to unviel in the playoffs when teams aren't ready for it.

You only need to throw screens if DB is back there to alleviate the pass rush with Romo's legs it does the same thing.

Romo shouldnt use the screen play because he is mobile?

He only has 3 receptions???

Wouldnt hurt to throw to him 3 or 4 times a game.
It's hard to argue with a successful offense, but it's even harder to argue against these numbers: If a holding call on Rivera doesn't bring back one of the receptions, JJ has 4 catches for 134 yards.

When you throw to TO 16 times in a game, somebody's production is going to suffer. Julius caught 35 passes last year, this year he's on a pace for 6.

well it's hard to get t.o. more catches, witten more catches, and get jones more catches when he only plays 1st and 2nd downs

With Romo as the QB, I hope Jones doesn't catch another pass all year.

Dallas uses it's back for screens (that they don't seem to run real well right now, but it is better than the recent past) and as a safety valve when no one is open downfield.

Screens are primarily to slow down the pass rush/blitz. Remember a few years ago when Parcells said something about the QB begging the other team to blitz? That's what Romo brings so I hope they don't have to run another screen all year.

With a QB that can buy a little time, there will almost always be a WR or Witten open downfield and Fasano is going to take over the main "safety valve" on 1st and 2nd down, so Jones' catches will go there.

Jones main contribution to the passing game will be slashing more of the 7-10 yard runs then play action to freeze the ILBs and safeties.

It would be exciting in some senses to see Dallas scheme to get Jones isolated in the open field the way that San Diego uses Tomlinson but that's not part of the Dallas offensive philosophy right now.

We just now got the TE's involved in the passing game. Lets give it some time and maybe they will start to throw to the RB's. I think with Romo in that he will be much better at throwing screens because he can move away from the rush and find time to make the throws.

However, I want to see them throw to MBIII not Julius. I have seen Julius drop too many easy balls to feel comfortable throwing to him...but that's just me.

I don't believe you have seen that this year.

he got a bad rep his first year but has become a very good receiver since then!

Backs should catch the ball in every offense; this is definitely a missing part of our O.
