And yes he's fast, long, and is going to be tough to deal with today, but if any line/FB/RB can slow him down, its us.

They got beat up last time they played this OL.

You really have to get away from the last time we played them, that was in week 6. The big mistake many made on the board I was posting on back in 07 was looking back to the first 2 regular season games with the Giants and what we were able to do them offensively. It's never usually the same in the playoffs. Seattle beat Atlanta during the regular season but they got beat down yesterday in the playoffs because the playoffs are different and the first game between them took place in week 6.

Not saying we can't do some of the things we did to the Packers in week 6 such as running the ball on them but it's mistake to look back months ago and think you're going to have the same exact success against a team that you had earlier in the season. It's always possible but you can't lull yourself into believing everything is going to go the same exact way.

I don't disagree at all. I was just saying the OL gave them fits in week 6, seems logical that their DL would at least respect them considering their remarks about how good they were on the sideline.

lol. Julius Peppers is so old and used up he probably can't see so good anyway! He is 127 yrs old and has a full time hospice nurse with him at all times!

He would have a been great signing 3 years ago for the Cowboys. I kind wanted him back when the debate here was whether the Cowboy should go after Jared Allen or Peppers. Most people wrote Peppers off as being done.

In his 3 years in GB, he has had:

25 sacks
8 forced fumbles
4 fumble recoveries
2 interceptions

He looks like he is just about finished now, but that was a lot of productivity.

I always admired Julius. Great competitor!

I see where you're coming from but some on the board assume everything is going to go the same way it did in the first game and it rarely does in the playoffs especially considering the first game was 3 months ago. The Packers are playing better and so is Rodgers and I don't expect us to pull away like we did as soon as we did starting right before the half.

If Rodgers is anywhere close to as on fire as he was last week, regardless how well we play offensively we'll never be able to separate and the game will go down to the wire. If we can get after Rodgers and he's a tick or two off from what we saw last week, then we have a chance to pull away if we don't miss a beat offensively. I'm expecting a real nail-biter unless we can't stay with them due to a red hot Rodgers.
