Upper body is great for looking good for the ladies, but a RBs bread and butter are his legs. I think he is concentrating too hard on his guns, and not hard enough on his wheels. In doing so he has shifted his center of gravity higher. This makes him have less balance. Hence why we all complain that he is knocked over too easily any more.

Just a theory.

Makes sense to me.

Or else maybe Julius just plain sucks now? :laugh2:

It's too bad because I really thought Julius was going to be our next great RB.

Either you're in denial or you need to get your eyes checked cuz not a single one of those guys had "chicken legs". Not even freakin' CLOSE.
Okay Bruce Jenner.

no joke, seems like everytime the poor guy busts a long run or long reception.... "HOLDING DALLAS" it must be frustrating. I wonder if it'd be possible for somebody to calculate how many more yards he'd have if it wasn't for penalties.

You an usually thank Flozell for that, who usually like madden says "leads the world in false starts"

JJ is a system back who I think will be very successful somewhere. Like someone else mentioned, I think he will do well in Denver.

That's like saying Leanard Davis would do well at an all you can eat buffet.

Anybody looks good in Denver.

That said, I'll throw in my agreement with Hos' original post - I think lack of balance is JJ's number one problem and the bulk theory is as good as any why it seems to have declined.

Although I am also in the school that we somewhat over-rated him off that rookie season to begin with.

His brother is an average back who got in the right system for a few years. I think JJ is the same, an average back who may do well in the right system. Probably not ours.

Im not comparing the two but if you split carries with Barry Sander and Marion Barber then Barry would have #'s like Julius.

Barry was a 2 yard a carry back then he would just take one to the house and reel off a couple of 15 yarders on top of that.

Had Barry split carries his #'s would have been significantly lower.

I think Julius will be a Chicago Bear next year and do really well.

But my point is the guy needs his carries to get big #'s.
