What is stupid is getting a RB when a FS or a LB or a OT of equal value is sitting there as well.
Stupid is paying a free safety that kind of money, when it can be had
later in the draft. Now i'm all for a kick-*** ilb, but i don,t know if
there will be one there at 18 thats BPA. OT can be had in RDS 2/3
I wouldn't pay first round money for every position on the team.
Everybody say it together " that would be STUPID"

For the record. I am fine with what we have, but I also dont truly believe Dallas is ready to contend for a Superbowl either.

Did you not watch the superbowl? After watching those two teams, I think about 30 teams are ready to contend for the superbowl.

What is stupid is drafting in the first at a position that a reasonable person would say we were quite solid at. But then the fanatasy types are not reasonable people.

I hear what you are saying and to a degree you are right. Here is the problem I have with the "did you see the Superbowl" argument.

That was one game in time. Kind of like it is not the destination but the journey that counts.

Just like those who want to point to Ben Rs pathetic performance as a reason just about any QB will do.

If you look at the Superbowl as just a single game then yeah we are much much closer than imagined.

There are a whole host of teams that did not even sniff the playoffs that could have given Pittsburgh a run for their money on Superbowl Sunday.

Again, that is small picture. There is this thing called 16 regular season games, 2 or 3 playoff games and then and only then Superbowl.

Reasonable wouldn't consider JJ alock to stay healthy all year.
I'm not a fantasy type. In the first round you get BPA regardless
of need . You can always trade the lesser player when/if it became
necessary to make a move. Julius was a good move at the time,
but an improvement can be made to upgrade the talent there.
Julius wasn't/isn't 1st round talent. there's a chance to get 1st round
talent at one of the most important positions on the team, i'm all
for it. I'm not a JJ hater he still has alot of usefulness if used correctly,
as a 3rd down / change of pace back... Imo

I firmly believe JJ will be given one more year to prove he can stay healthy before they make a RB move.

JJ clearly has 1st rd talent. He can be an all pro. ANYONE claiming he is only a third down/ change of pace back is not worth arguing with.

Now that we're in the off-season, I have been watching the games again (starting from the beginning of the season) and JuJo really impressed me through the first four games. The injury problem, that's my biggest concern, and it's clear to me that he still wasn't right after he returned later in the season.

Maybe I have the homer glasses on, but I think we have two studs in our backfield. As others have noted, now we need the big dogs up front to stay healthy and do their job.
