Disregard the dude, he clearly just learned what football is. Duckett? Of all the players who might be taking Julius spot and he chose Duckett. :lmao:

I think your right.

read any of my posts...I am very comfortable in my football acumen...I am watching JuJo very closely...and nothing about him makes him special enough for the Cowboys to continue down this path....plus follow the money trail...the Cowboys extend people they want to be core part of the future....they are taking a wait and see approach with JuJo and I don't think they are ever going to pay him...he is to brittle and He cannot break tackles. Stop looking at stats and look at the game...you all keep laughing at me. But keep this thread open and let's see what happens

Foolishness. You give the football to the player who has shown he can power it in at the goalline all season long and that is Barber.

If you start coaching and playcalling to make people feel better, then you won't win much. There are no token touchdowns and if Jones wanted it bad enough he would have scored to begin with.

While I agree with the fact that you bring Barber in and give it to him, I do not agree with the idea that he did not want it enough. You can only carry so many guys for so many yards.

I don't think JJ gets the ball in for the TD on the carry that Barber had at the 1!

He should have had that first down, can't remember if it was the same drive but it was the one that Romo had to sneak on 4th and inches and JJ had any easy first down and was lazy on the sidelines and it almost costs us!

Oh well since you looked at him enough said. Yet you post about Duckett? Give me a break. I'd take Jones any day of the week over Duckett

You think Duckett is a better back than JJ and you want people to not laugh at y:laugh1: ou?

you think maybe the reason they have'nt extended jones's contract is because he is already signed thru 2009?why would you extend a guys contract when you already have him signed? the extension we''ve done was to prevent guys from becoming f.a.'s, not just to give them more money.duckett? please, put that bottle down and forget about that bust

Even though Julius has been moving the ball fairly well, I would still like to see Barber get another 4-5 more carries (or more) per game than what he usually has been getting. While Jones may have more speed, I would still like to see us use Barber more because of him having more leg drive and tackle breaking ability.

Yes let's watch what happens to Duckett who has never had more than 780 yards in a season, has only started 13 games in his career and only managed to get 12 carries in Washington who despite missing Portis decides to inactivate Duckett.

I agree...in the cases where JJ works hard to get it down the field he should be rewarded with the TD carry...

Another thing I want to see is MBIII getting more carries. I'd love to see him getting 10-12 a game...not six. He makes plays...I love the one two punch with these two.

Then he slams into the tough D and breaks his colar bone....no wait....that was his rookie year. Seriously, I'm happy they are not letting him take too much of a pounding. I just think he is not that durable and that is why BP uses MB on any grind it out plays.

my original post said someone "like" TJ Ducket...which means a bigger back that is a downhill runner and can absorb 25 carries a game...and if I am not mistaken Jones cannot be signed until 2009. He was a second round pick an their are limits to how long a 2nd round pick can be signed. As a matter of fact, I think the Cowboys have to make a decision on him BEFORE the end of next season...look, all I want is what is best for the Cowboys..and from my seat on the couch...Julius Jones is not doing anything a ton of other backs in the NFL would not do in this system...having said that, I would not be shocked if Julius Jones is just a "guy". For a guy his size he does not make enough people miss...he tries to run like a downhill runner because that is what Parcells prefers, and in the process he is taking a ton of punishment. He has already lost some of his burst and I just don't think he has or will show enough for the Cowboys to sign up long term to be in the Julius Jones business

Anyone who says Jones doesn't break tackles is out of their mind. He generally breaks at least one per play. The game I saw yesterday saw him go through a lot of arms for 6-13 yard runs.

He has plenty of burst, I am guessing you missed the screen pass where he took it to the 1.

Is he LT, no, never will be, but I think he is a very good NFL RB. BP is always looking for RB's and it would not surprise me if he drafted one next year but I think he is pretty pleased with JJ.

same hear i thought he would have given him at least one try at the endzone and if somehow the colts d did something about it given it to barber but it helped my fantasy team

this is the last year Julius will be the feature back in Dallas IMHO. He should be the change of pace back...not the feature back. Someone like TJ Duckett might be on his way to town.

Why would T.J. Duckett come to town? Does he like seeing the Stars play?

why...are you not happy with his performance so far?

JJ has been one of our solid players this season. His early career numbers are outstanding. I think he should be given more carries.

What exactly has T.J. Duckett done that would suggest the Cowboys go "down the path" with him?
