June 1 cuts

Monday is June 1. So, there will likely be cuts and trades intended to help teams get under the cap.

This begs a few questions. Which player/players do you think the Cowboys are going to move that day (if any)?

The other question is, which players should the Cowboys target? I could see a few surprises taking place. If a team releases a good LB or LT, id love for the Cowboys to sign them potentially. Chances are, we could get a decent deal, and we might be able to make a surprise move that way.

I don’t think June 1 is a thing any longer.

Teams can just make that designation now, and they should have changed the name of the rule when they changed that. I could be wrong but I think there’s a restriction on the amount of players that can be used on in a given season, so this has already happened for plenty of teams.

Anyway, no one of significance is going to hit the FA market on Monday. Everyone is under the cap as we speak.

My wish list is: A veteran corner that can play. A veteran OT that can play (much harder). A depth LB that can play in a pinch and contribute on STs.

Honestly, I like the corners on our roster, especially with our front 7. I just would like a little more quality depth at LB. Maybe a Bobby Wagner?

The biggest thing for June 1st date is possible trades that could occur, now that only the current year dead cap from the signing bonus will stick to the 2026 cap, instead of all the remaining signing bonus being accelerated to the current year that would happen before June 1st

AJ Brown I would guess will be moved on Monday, or shortly after. Cap wise, Eagles had to wait if they decided he was no long worth keeping due to his "antics".

That being said, I feel like the Cowboys will wait till TC or the PS to make a trade to improve the team.

He didn't look too good last season when he was on the field. PJ Locke could very well be his replacement.

I simply don't know enough about the rest of the league to answer the 2nd question but I'd like to see us pick up a LB. Maybe the Dolphins outright cut Jordyn Brooks??

Since they changed were you can cut early and designate June 1 the thrill of June 1 is gone

Problem with our corners is the top 2 guys are big injury risks. Chances of those 2 starting 17 games together is around 0.
