I like Kendrick’s. But they are paying Murray $7 million this year. He’s pretty much locked in at starting MLB and is your green dot guy.

Not 100% sure but I believe the reason he chose Dallas over SF was he preferred playing inside as opposed to OLB.

He will play somewhere this year but likely will wait like you said until later/closer towards camp

It’s a position where the team is already struggling with depth. Just a money decision that weakens the team, isn’t it?

I would rather cut a guy a year early than a year too late when even a man on the street can see a player is done. And we can’t count Diggs as “depth” when he can’t play to start the season.

Nothing against Diggs but I don’t think he will ever be the same. The way his contract is structured it will cost less to cut him this year than next. So better now than later.

Regarding weakening the team - in my view by cutting Diggs, we can free up some more long term cap space and strengthen the team.

For example: This is Bland’s last year on his rookie deal. Are we going to lose him or pay him? If we pay him, having Bland and Diggs is a cap buster at the expense of something else. If we lose Bland and Diggs is already struggling what have we accomplished?

That’s all just my opinion and I could certainly be wrong. But don’t worry - this is exactly the kind of move the Cowboys never make.

There is as part salary cap management. Some teams have already used their two post-June 1 cuts to take advantage of spreading money over two years as opposed to one, opening up some cap space. Tomorrow there should be some interesting signings across the league.

The reason to cut players now would be to sign other guys now. The best available will be gone in the next 72 hours.

He does look like a cut.

He’s so limited because of his size not sure anything will save him. He was drafted under the old staff. He’s only been activated for 14 games in two seasons because he doesn’t play special teams except as a returner. If an RB injury happens they’ll be other backs cut this summer.

Unless we know for sure Diggs can't play any more I'm against cutting him.

For Deuce's sake, I hope he is cut if he isn't going to be used.

That would be the only way Diggs would be cut is if he can’t play anymore. The best chance for Deuce to be used is in the UFL.

I would strongly consider cutting Trevon Diggs, Deuce Vaughn, and perhaps Donovan Wilson. The Diggs cut would be better this yr than next.

I know many would not like the Diggs cut but it’s better for the long haul. I think he will never be the same. Cut your losses. The Cowboys won’t do it though.

Vaughn will happen. Don't see the other two happening. Jerry is not brave enough

The reality is the NFL never takes a day off. Not for yachts, interviews with local radio lackeys, or Johnnie Walker Blue.
