Your right, you would pay more. I understand it will take time to lose the "overpaying" label but it's just as bad pretending the Cowboys are going to the superbowl every year because they did in the 90's.

I doubt that. They may want to take a look at him now that Galette is done. But I don't see McCloughan paying him more than vet minimum at his age. We could just go with Preston Smith, who had a better year as a rookie.

And just like I figured, report comes out that the Skins aren't interested in Freeney at all. McCloughan is no fool.

At least to get us through the first four games, at best he hangs around bc he is a good locker room presence and can lend some tips to the young guys.

Why would we need to cut? We have three roster spots open until the suspended players get back and likely more from pup players.
