This is a down year in the NFL. San Fran is the only NFC team playing well. The Chiefs are playing poorly and Burrow is out. It’s an ideal year for a second-tier team like Baltimore or Buffalo to make the Super Bowl. The weight is really on San Fran since they appear to be in a league of their own.

It’s been a tale of two teams for the Cowboys this season at home versus on the road. Great home team but a bad road team and the record says it all.

MM has brought some consistency but it’s still the same team. I have seen no real fight from them. They can play with swagger and play with intensity. The Defense swarm to the ball. But we struggle when punched in the mouth. Once we play teams equal talent we struggle. We were close yesterday because we played another team that they say haven’t beaten a lot of teams with winning records. That fumble on the goal line don’t happen and perhaps it’s a win.

I am not expecting us to be in the SB.

Yes...SF is a "great" team...far and away. Their three-game skid was directly attributable to injuries to key offensive playmakers. If they remain healthy, nobody's going to beat them this season.

 Still needs an excuse for multiple losses.

I think that this season is no different than past seasons: Dallas dominates weaker teams…as they should, giving rise to the thought that MAYBE this is their year; yet when playing a well-coached, playoff-caliber team they falter in one way or another.

In my opinion it’s no coincidence that this period of mediocrity coincides with Jerry, in a fit of ego, taking control of the team from Jimmy Johnson.

Coaches and players, some good and some bad, have come and gone; the lone constant is Jerry. I think Jerry has instituted a culture of entitlement with no accountability. I think Jerry’s ego causes him to meddle and in the process, undermining the coaching staff. So long as this type of culture is allowed to flourish the Cowboys are doomed to repeat the past.
